now if we could get one from this.

Just been gutless and clueless today. Oxford have had little to do.

3 mins + stoppage time.

9 added on.

Could've been half an hour we wouldn't trouble the scoreres

9 mins, does it give us hope?

They'll be a rush on pitchforks and bedsheets tomorrow.

Where has our goalscoring prowess gone?

It's all over bar the shouting. What happens next?

Will he walk or will he need a push.

I do think that he will go but who knows?

They deserved it we deserved nothing. I'm glad I didn't go, it a long way back home.

Now we can talk seriously about it being Phil Neal time.
Not even a consolation goal is unforgivable.

That is me done Pasty. I don't feel like hanging around. We have said since December that we aren't good enough.

A good idea to call it a day for today
Sleep on it tonight.

Wake up and face the thought of another year in L1 and the financial consequences.
I'll not be chatting to Sharon until midweek.

I just now want to concentrate on other football. Final day of the Premier League tomorrow. Europa Conf League on Wednesday, FA Cup final on Saturday and Europa League and Champions League the week after.

Then the European Championship and whatever we do can be background then it's back to the slog of another dreadfully dull league one campaign where we dominate and ultimatley fail against cloggers and fail to play at all against well drilled counter quick press counter attacking sides.

Going to be a lot tougher next season with the teams coming down and coming up. Couldn't ask for more. Evatts chance and he blew it, both automatically and in the final.

Gutted for you guys. I honestly thought you'd win today.
I didn't watch the game so can't comment...but as the saying goes .... "we go again"...

Morning
We can do a dozen postmortems the results will always be the same.

We all know; we blew it over the course of the season. The writing was on the wall, in bold capitals when we blew the three games in hand.

I can feel the mood change from thousands of miles away.
As Jeff Mallock would often say "It's stagnation of the lungs Mr Herriot"
If you are not old enough to remember that one.
You must have heard about our Norwegian Blue parrot.

Soonest fixed soonest mended.
Change it by Wednesday. Both A and B teams, a complete clear out.
There's no room for sentiments it has to be done.

On the day we needed to be at our best, we didn't even turn up. The fans deserved better, but as I have said before we have not performed consistently for some time but our worst spell has been since December. Injuries are no excuse as we should have had a squad capable of filling the gaps.

To lose Williams the day before the game to a training injury is pathetic. His absence was very noticeable, his replacement was not in the same class. Would it have made a difference had he played, we will never know.

Only Dempsey looked as though he was up for it when he came on, the rest were poor beyond belief. We were launching long balls to no one and over-hitting others, and our passing was poor. You don't win games if you can't get the basics right.

I don't know what Evatt said at halftime but it didn't make any difference to our performance. Evatt persists with this stupid tippy-tappy passing game at the back which has cost us goals against, due to errors that should never happen.

On his day Santos can be a great asset, but recently he has hardly been consistent, maybe he needs to go back to the basics. My brother-in-law was a defender for Blackburn Rovers, his mantra was, if in doubt, kick it out.

There is a lot to be considered if we are to get promoted next season, first and foremost, we need a better manager. He has had his chances and has blown them.

It feels like a wasted season when so much talk had been centred on gaining automatic promotion. Perhaps Evatt shouldn't have been talking the talk but walking the walk.

At the fork in the road.
Oxford used the map, we went with "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe"

Off Facebook so don't know of readable to others. Even mi is getting the Phil Neal comparisons in now.

Funny how we've been mentioning Phil Neal for some time on here.

You all know my thoughts on Charles.
As for the rest, there's not a lot. Collins and two goalkeepers and not much else we can trust.

A full top to bottom, A and B team clear out. I wouldn't settle for anything less.
