Id be interested to hear what some of the arsenal fans on here made of Rodri's comments recently about how arsenals mentality was weak due to their approach at the etihad.
I was very vocal at the time, as were others, about how that performance was a show of inferiority from arsenal and it would come back to bite them. Pretty much every arsenal fan shot that down declaring it was a good point.
We'll never know now but surely there has to be an acceptance that the mark of champions is to try and win every game, not play for a point hoping you might get lucky and nick a win?
Do you always start a conversation by telling people you don't like them and don't much care for their opinions? How does that normally work out?
Arsenal have had a great season, I have no complaints at all. It's just a pity they were up against the relentless machine that is Pep's ManC.

When people make this argument they seem to ignore the bleeding obvious, in that if we go toe to toe with City at their place we lose that game probably 70%+ of the time, so we'd have just lost the league a game earlier then. It's nothing to do with BS like "mentality", it's simple pragmatism.
Also, the game at our place was hardly a basketball game - it was meandering to a draw before we nicked that goal, and City seemed to be pretty happy with that at the time, or at least they weren't exactly breaking their necks to win it.
4 points off both our main rivals is excellent. It's December that completely screwed us.
I like anyone who starts an article by stating who they hate.

Rodri is a great player but he's a little up his own bum, we lost the league to getting 1 point from Fulham and Villa games and losing to West Ham at home, our home form is unacceptable for a title winning team

Arsenal didn't have the ability to perform how they wanted to, that's something that needs to change next year but even so, they need to win their home games
At the Emirates, city didn't even have a shot past the 34th minute.

But that wasnt city at their best. They had 3 or 4 out that day and were playing nowhere near the level they ended up at towards the end of the run in. The week before you mustve watched us have a right good go at them and but for our woeful finishing we wouldve won.
Pragmatism is all fair and well but sometimes you need to go and take the title. Go and make a statement. You are right, you might have lost, you also might have just won. We'll never know. The issue is not that you took a point from that game. Everyone will agree a point at the etihad is a good result. The issue is you didnt even try to take 3.

Who can go toe to toe with City at Etihad? If Real Madrid of all teams go and park the bus, I think it’s safe to say that’s the best way to go at City.
Arsenal btw didn’t park the bus, they had the better chances. Lack of offensive quality on the day robbed us of a deserved 3 points.

Super Mick didn't know Liverpool were going to fall off close to the end of the season though....
Hence it was still a 3 horse race at the time, and Arsenal decided to park the bus.
