How many points were Arsenal ahead of City before the game?

According to BBC, Liverpool and Arsenal were level on points, 1 more than us. Liverpool had Brighton at home.
Super Mick didn't know Liverpool were going to fall off close to the end of the season though....
Hence it was still a 3 horse race at the time, and Arsenal decided to park the bus.

OK, I thought the points difference was greater.

I would get the strategy if Arsenal was several points ahead of us. The facts from BBC was that them AND Liverpool was level on points, 1 ahead of us.
I've only just learnt this, and how Arsenal fans thinks this was a great strategy, knowing that it was a 3 horse race at the time, baffles me.

My fan experience and journey has been more than I expected in recent memory, and what you are missing is that if you had tried, you might have won it regardless of what the final day brought. Because you were more interested and day-dreamed in the Manchester skyline where it mattered - go for the King - we have now made history with 4 in a row.
You were supposed to save football. You've failed because ultimately, you weren't serious people.
