Scotland Euros squad

I have very little faith in Angus Gunn.
We will likely have Ralston starting at RB.

we will get annihilated, I dont have anywhere near the same confidence in this squad come the finals.

Hopefully Clarke can pull something out the bag, if we get out the groups he once again deserves massive credit.

Don't see us getting anything from a newly rejuvenated Germany, a flying Hungary... maybe a point against the Swiss

If Ben Doak is in the final squad that'll be a wee bit less pain.

Ralston or McCrorie at RB

Ideally, a keeper and a cb drop out if it’s to be reduced to 26

Jack a strange one, but he’s done well at rb before to be fair. He won’t have any sort of fitness though

You lot had some bad luck with the draw. Playing the hosts Germany in the opening game of the tournament is as tough as it gets.

I know Hungary are better these days, but that’s your best chance of a win and then a grubby draw against then Swiss and you will finally escape the group.

It has to happen one day

I think the Hungary game is tougher than the Swiss one.

Last time Hungary lost was 2022 against Italy!

Swiss are beatable

Got to get rid of one of Hanley or Cooper and a keeper surely.

They are both big stiff idiots and we don't need 4 keepers.

Other than that good squad.

The RB situation is a bit of sickener. McCrorie or Ralston, two guys that would run through brick walls for you then trip over their own feet.

Think I'd rather play a winger as the RWB.

Doak maybe, at least he could cause problems with his pace.

Is Forrest quick? He might do.

Also how the fook is Ryan Jack in there. The guy has been in hiding since last year.

Ryan Jack should be in there - if he's fit. I won't be too surprised if he's not in the final squad, sadly.

He always manages to be fit for Scotland

The sentiment I agree. Strong chance we only see 3 games and none of Jack. Would rather we'd looked to someone from the 21s and given them tournament experience. Constantly feels like 'its not the time to throw these boys in' now we have nations cup and few friendlies.

Got to applaud Southgate for brutal cuts albeit he has way more players to choose from.

Ach, our squad’s about as good as he could have gone with, given the players we’ve lost to injury. That doesn’t make it any less pash though. My days of travelling to our away games are gone, but it’ll be a great trip for those who do … as long as their expectations are low!

If England hadn’t conceded a consolation goal against the Dutch (in your 4-1 win), we’d have got out of the Groups at Euro 96. Not that I’m still bitter, having been at all 3 Group games … coincidentally finishing with a 1-0 win against the Swiss at Villa Park, courtesy of a Super Ally strike. 😩

I'm glad Clarke went with Doak - hope he keeps him in, could be a great option with 10 mins to go!
We don't need 4 keepers. Expect Gordon to get the boot and then one of McCrorie, Hanley or Cooper.

Hickey is a massive miss, he is integral to how we want to play - class player.

I do wonder if we might use KT at RB but that leaves a big hole at LCB. Unlsee we go to 4 at the back?

Bit of a joke Jack being in the squad IMO.

Clarke saying hes been fit but just not picked is utter pash.

I was at the B team game a couple of weeks ago where Jack plodded through the first 45 minutes looking in not particularly great shape at all and certainly nowhere near top team match fit.
