Yeah I get that, but it’s 160 pitch so the score itself isn’t terrible.

Uganda bowled out for 39 . Some of these awful nations should not be in the World Cup. The likes of Uganda, Namibia and England should stay at home

Why is Bairstow so FAT?? at least get in some sort of shape? wait that doesnt matter. not when your part of the friend group. same with Moeen Ali.. never done a thing in years. but that doesn't count

I wouldn't write England off yet, they didn't start the last t20 world cup off well either but came back to win it. The problem is this side is extremely low on confidence and Buttler kind of feels like too much of a nice guy and has nowhere near the level of authority and ruthlessness that Morgan had.

I don't suspect we will make any changes but Topley and Duckett should come in for Livingstone and Bairstow.

Depends on the wicket. Topley shd have played yesterday but the track in Antigua may be very different.

Well I said before the tournament that we don’t do things by halves in international tournaments of late, either spectacular or spectacularly bad.

So that’s a tonking received from Australia and a narrow escape from humiliation thanks to the rain against a bunch of part timers in Scotland. Clear to see which way this tournament is going already.

Bairstow should be nowhere near any England team

It may well be but I would still make those changes. Topley and Duckett bring some variety to our bowling and batting.

Not sure a major clear out is necessary. England just lack an identity now. Buttler is sort of trying to carry on what Morgan did but without the same conviction or intensity. The quality is there, they just need direction. The big question is, who is best to take on the role? Moeen is in theory the next guy but he turns 37 soon.

Sam Curran could be an interesting choice but I get that a lot of people wouldn't pick him in their best XI which puts him.under immediate pressure. Also, do you want a specific white ball captain or do you have a t20 captain and an ODI captain as Curran is probably further down the pecking order for the ODI side.

I suspect Mott will be moved on before Buttler is replaced as captain. The only options are Ali and Stokes, if he comes back, and it doesn’t look like either will be in the white ball team going forward.
