I agree Jonty. Been there done that so many times.
Disappointment is practically expected now.
Use of substitutes is absolutely shocking from DF and it has killed him and I don't feel sorry for him.
I know we have some really good kids coming through, (Archie's brother for one) but none of them are used.
Piroe is one of the most ineffective strikers Leeds have ever had, but worse than that he puts no effort in either. Terrible.
We've got no positive playmaker in midfield at all, everything goes safely sideways or backwards it's really annoying.
Lots needs to be done even to to get the results we got this season because I fear there will be quite a few leaving. We shall see.
Anyway, I learned a big lesson this week. Supporting Leeds for over 50 years counts for nothing when you're after a Wembley ticket, you need to go to 8 home games or more. Noted.
See you (much more at Elland Road) next season

All my “thoughts of the day” can be summed-up in four letters.

Other than that, spot on Jonty.

James will be living that shot against the crossbar over in his head for a while I guess. So unlucky not to equalise.

As someone who has seen us fall short, for whatever reason in major finals, more times than we win, this is no surprise really and I too am being relatively circumspect.

I said this morning we would break the bad run but that proved over optimistic yet again.

It's gets a bit wearing enduring being a Leeds fan, but I was born in the City and have followed the team since a boyhood.
Yes currently feels like a cross to bear, ( again), but I'm stuck with it till my last breath.

To add insult to injury, that lot from over the Pennines supposedly have a truly rubbish season yet win the FA Cup and qualify for Europe - oh for a tripe season like that!

Anyway onto next season MOT!

Martin has Farkes number. That's 3 in 3.it was poor today from Fsrke as.much as I like him. The front 6 were terrible. It amazes me that know9ng how critical Bamford is to our shape we didn't try and get a like for like at some stage this season. We have all these class forwards and they are stuck with Piroe, a number 10 to try and play off. It's cost us. And it's obvious. We will likely.lose Somerville and/or Gnonto. I'm ok with Gnonto going. In not sure what happens with Piroe. It doesn't look right but we've had plenty of them who've come good second season. We need to do all we can to sign Rodon. Ideally Roberts too and play him. I don't see why we signed Anthony as he never uses him so we need another winger. I'd go all out for Hamer and a striker

We have become the biggest embarrassment in English football. Totally bottled it again against a team who will do nothing in the PL.

Root and branch reform is required of this football club and it needs to start with DF. Other clubs break the FFP financial rules and get away with it. We need to invest and go for it next season, stuff the rules.

I will be cancelling my sky sports subscription if DF is not sacked within 24 hours.

I hate being knee jerk but we seriously have to look at Farke. He has no plan other than give it to Summerville. I'm not too down as I think we should still have a strong squad next season but say if potter is available we should be ruthless.

At the moment Leeds have no idea on how to breakdown a low block. Players move the ball slowly because there is no plan, this stuff needs to be trained into them and for it to be instinctive.

We were the 4th best team this season. Fact.

And that's with parachute payments, Prem leftovers,
and Prem loanees. Now, this sh 1 t gets real. We are
facing a summer from football hell.

Losing our best players. Loanees returning to parent clubs. And dealing with last season's want out tw 4ts.

Big, big summer ahead. And that doesn't even factor
in do we keep Farke. 49ers have a huge job ahead.

Not overly hopeful.

3 Prem teams coming down with Prem money.
Championship rivals ready to challenge. Can we
get our act together quickly and stop square
pegging our way through seasons?

I wouldn't say bottled it. The players weren't really given a chance with Farkes tactics

Knew early on we were going to struggle, when Rutter, Cry and Wilf don't click, there is very little else. In one respect, I'll be glad to see the end of that.

This assumes Farke had better talent. He didn't.

We get so enamoured with our own players. Bielsa
caused a lot of people to think we had a great squad.
When in reality we had a great manager/coach.

Several years later, we got exposed. Orta added
square peg after square peg. Blowing millions.
We now know Orta was fcking clueless.

Is Farke tactically inept? Yes.

Trouble is, we could bring in Pep G and he'd
take one look at this squad and say who the fck
built this collection of strangers?

Watched the game as a neutral … who are the “crown jewels”, based on that?

Depends who you ask.

A couple on here would say all 18. By a mile.

Reality is, Summerville is the only one close
to being a 'crown jewel'. But, he's dipped further
than a prostitute last few weeks.

We are Square Peg United.

Chances of Archie Gray leaving in the summer? Could he step up to the prem?

Too much pressure for a very young side - I think we might have lost an opportunity of a lifetime, could be L1 at the end of next season.

Mate sorry to say this but havent commented on ages but i do remember vividly your comments after seeing arronsen play for 10 mins in a pre season friendly where you called him " A BALLER" so i will ignore your comments on who is a crown jewel and who isnt

We did well to get 90 points from a standing start.

The three relegated teams are unlikely to be as challenging as Leicester or Southampton.

Obviously our dip in form after the international break is a worry, as is the possibility of losing some of the players who we would want to keep

I'm confident that we will get 90 points next season and be promoted. A disappointing end to the season but I wouldn't panic.

The lack of energy and commitment today just begs the question WTF these guys have been up to in the last 9 days.

What we need for next season, however we do it:

1) Get experience on pitch
2) Get goals from midfield
3) Get a 25 goal a season striker who stays fit
4) Learn how to take effective corners
5) Keep Rodon

No worries there.

Not sure I give a sh 1 t what you think.
Checks notes...
Nope, don't give a sh 1 te.

I will add Archie Gray is a Crown Jewel.

Saying that, this squad is the victim of self loving.
Nowhere near as good as made out to be.

No! Fact is we were the 3rd best team this season.

Today was just another day when we didn’t click. Southampton are a well drilled team. Farke or the players - or just one team that couldn’t cope with another?

Okay Stoopo. Guess what the facts are:

We are the 4th best team.

Did I mention that is actual fact?
