Farke has been massively exposed tactically since the international break and in all 3 games vs Southampton. Martin absolutely had his number against his formulaic tactics and substitutions.
You have to turn up in finals and earn the right to play your football, we didn't do either. Heads dropped after the goal went in and slow, ponderous, sideways passing was never going to prevail. Finshed 4th best team in a 3 horse race. Bitterly disappointed that we have to endure another 40 low blocks against piece poor opposition.
Recruitment and work to right this season's wrongs need to start asap. Back the manager and get on with it
I also can't recollect any occasion this season when Farke takes responsibility and say it's on him. Always someone's else's fault. A complete contract to the great man Bielsa who did so many times.
We also lost a massive amount on Summerville's value.
Walker-Peters locked him down. Not sure top teams are going to be as willing to throw tens of millions around to
sign him after today. Unless Arne Slot's that daft.
Fair play to the Saints but you have to wonder how they kept 12 players on the pitch. Downes very lucky to stay on and six players booked.
We didn’t click like we did against Norwich but we played a much better organised team who know when to foul, when to waste time and crucially when to score and defend for the rest of the game.
On to next season now and let’s see who comes back, who goes and who we sign.
I think Farke will stay.

The a
ACTUAL fact is that over 46 games we were the third best team. The playoffs don’t count in that respect.
Southampton finished fourth.
Sorry to burst you bubble.
We kept going up the left side and Soton sussed this and had 5 or 6 players within 10 or 15 yards of Cry - his threat was well and truly nullified. On top of this Rutter reverted to type that we have seen over last 2 months, tired runs into their defence and losing the ball cheaply - when will someone teach him when a ball should be released simply to a side on team mate?
Wilf seemed to want to keep coming inside when stretching on the right was far the better option. Why did our attack look so poor? - I don't blame Piroe too much as the afore mentioned 3 offered him very little to work with.
Stoopo - sorry mate, I admire your loyalty to the LUFC Staff but the truth is we have achieved no better than Plymouth. In this league there are only 2 things to do
a) be one of the 3 teams who get to the PL or
b ) avoid positions 22, 23 and 24.
We have only succeeded against b)
Irrespective of the start of the season, not so long ago we were in pole position and lost it - I don't class that as a good season, certainly not a good end.

I think Prem relegations were due to lack of support/strengthening.
Will always have a team/manager that somehow gets the better of you, but we were so laboured, so poor, you just can't have such flat performances (this wasnt the first one) if you want success.
We have some massive problems ahead this summer now:
1) all these loanees that no one else really wants, just lost a year of their contracts they're worth even less now
2) We owe a huge amount on those players still
3) We lose Roberts, Anthony and Rodon potentially
4) We surely will lose some of Summerville, Gnonto, Rutter and Gray.
Solutions in my book
1) sell the loanee players, just get rid of that problem and get some money in.
2) try our best to keep/buy Rodon
3) Sell Gnonto
4) Sell Summerville if price is right
5) Sell Piroe
6) Sell Gruev
7) Buy a 25 goal a season striker
8) Buy a midfielder who creates and/or scores 10/15 per season
9) Buy a right back
10) Buy a centre back
11) 49ers put some money into players!
12) Be prepared to do business in January

I get the feeling that some players we think might go don’t. Rutter + Gray surely know that they need to stay a minimum 1 year with us - they don’t get into top 10 prem sides for me.
Gnonto has had a few good moments but hindsight would have taken that £30m from Everton. Summerville will go. Gruev is a squad player at best. It’s time for Bamford to go too (too injury prone lately) and get a proper striker in
Also wouldn’t surprise me if a couple of the loanees do a u-turn and give us a season and put in a shift. Thinking Wober, Aaronson and Roca. Heard it here first

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sell Gnonto, keep James who is better
Sell Piroe, who isn't delivering, hoping Joseph is better and still have Gelhardt
Sell Gruev, play Ampadu in midfield
I actually think Rutter will be better as an inverted winger with a proper number 10.
We started brightly, loads of space for a striker like Bamford to receive the ball and take a shot, but we messed about with it too much and then next thing it’s back to the keeper. Alex McCarthy spent most the afternoon sunbathing.
Just about what you expect from Leeds in the playoffs. Major changes next season needed.
Back home in Yorkshire now with a beer, finally.
Onto next season.
I like Farke as a coach. He has brought on some of our players and restored a lot of confidence within the team. Firpo improved significantly, Byram was a useful addition, and we are now seeing the quality of our younger players starting to shine through.
His biggest failings, though, were firstly, his inability to rest players and rotate the squad, thus adding a significant load to the likes of Ampadu and Rodon in particular. They looked exhausted today.
Secondly, his in game management has been consistently poor throughout the season. He cannot seem to give his bench players enough time to make an impact in the games and you can see that they are falling behind in terms of mentality and positional awareness.
If he can address these aspects of his management, I think we can look forward to a more consistent level of performance across the whole of next season.

Spot on Jonty - there were aspects of 'same old, same old...' - where was the 'this is not working, lets mix it up a bit'.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is my worry with Farke…..
Did same at Norwich - didn’t learn his lesson and got them relegated from PL twice
Southampton did him 3 times playing the same way
We’ve had same issues going forward against low block last month or two and he only has one plan. Doesn’t mix it up.
If he doesn’t have a flying start next season, I think he’s in trouble by November
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think Prem relegations were due to lack of support/strengthening.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If we sell all those players and 11 doesn't happen we aren't going to have a squad.
Can we also extend Firpo's contract, even if it's just by a year, having only one left back at the club and him only having one year left on his contract seems reckless to say the least.
