Yeah he’s a caaant. Like most billionaires. Let’s see if he puts his money where is mouth is, he’ll have to spend a massive amount if it’s proportionate to the amount of talking he does

posted on 30/5/24

Agreed and seems like he is a horrible guy to work for so likely to create a very toxic working culture inside the club.

Guess as fans we have no choice but to buckle up and continue the ride!

Unless Qatar can come back in and save the club!

The alternatives were more of the same under the Glazers, or a Qatari…

He's a grade A priick... but let's hope he understands football and club structure a bit more than the Glazers.

Maybe if we could find a way to monetize Winston’s posts, we could get rid of ineos and the glazers. Even at 1p per Winston post we’d be the richest club ever

Pretty much.

Show me a billionaire who isn't a pr*ck. In fact there aren't any owners of top football clubs that are squeaky clean.

Most successful people aren't to everyone's liking though. For what it's worth, I half like and half dislike him. I agree with him on things like Brexit and immigration, but asking for the taxpayer to fund the new stadium is double standards.

Hasn’t he just given all staff the option of voluntary redundancy?

I suppose while he’s dangling their new terms & conditions he’ll get his wish

We need someone ruthless if we are going to succeed. Look at City and Chelsea and their periods of dominance, all through bad people doing bad things, but producing successful teams on the park. That's all that matters to me.

We need to be copying our rivals' strategies if we too want to be successful. My only concern is that Sir Jim isn't bad enough. We all know the blueprint for success now and I am just concerned that Jim isn't willing to cheat.

The sooner we cheat, then the sooner we can have a 5 or so year period of domination and cheating on a large scale takes time.

Once we reap the benefits of the cheating then it will be years before anything will be done about it. We will win countless trophies and because we haven't been found to be cheating yet, everyone will just accept us winning all these trophies.

People are then not willing to admit that the past few years will have been a lie so they brush it under the carpet.

This is modern football. We need to move with the times. Nicey, nicey and honesty doesn't get you anywhere.

Jim seems pretty bad, but time will only tell if he is bad enough to make us successful.

I, for one, am shocked that a Brexit supporting, tax dodging, Tory billionaire turned out to be a massive cuuuuuunt.

All this was known about him before he was accepted by the Glazers.

The one thing he is doing that I am all in favour of is trimming down the amount of people who work for the club. There are way too many hangers on.

Good point, should we aiming for Putin then? Trump? Though I think trump will need to value his ford mondeo at 5bn to raise the capital.

I’m chuffed for him - he’s been able to re-use one of his posts from Rangers 2012.

This. Many people whose contracts were all renewed during Ole’s time weren’t doing anything. For the rest, it was all known, and that’s why many fans were in favour of the Qataris. Not the ideal choice, to be sure, but they had no intention of making profits. All they wanted was the prestige of owning one of the jewels of world football.

Would people be happy for us to cheat if it brought a decade of success and we only get in trouble in say 15 years? That's so long away. Some of us could be dead. Think of the great times we could have for 15 years!! Honest answers please.

So. Jim's honeymoon period is well and truly over for some on here and they havent got started yet. BTW all this stuff about him was common knowledege, well before he even bid for United. Even when he was a 'Chelsea fan' bidding for Chelsea.

Seems a long time ago that some on here were singing his praises as the great English hope over the fake Qatari Sheikh's bid and was well smart for not paying the daft asking price that the Glazers kept shifting the goal posts on.

Say what you want about Jim hes going to be a lot better owner than them Glazers have ever been. (Talking of which hes propbably got a max of 2 years now left to get on with buying out the rest of Glazers football club).

Why? Think of all the good times Boris and co have had over the past decade. They have developed a denial to it as well. So we would as well. So if we have a decade of success based on lies and cheating but at the end of it we all believe it was real and deserved success, does it really matter thay none of it wss real? Like if at the end of your life someone told you it was all just a simulation. That wouldn't affect the life you had already lived and you'd probably not believe it anyway.

I am sure when the 115 charges are enforced with City playing lower league football, stripped of all the trophies, it would have been worth it!
