On r/Conservative they are doubling down on voting for him now. Utterly brainwashed
----------------------------------------------------------------------

His base are. But his base is so small now it has no chance of getting him elected.

27% of Republicans at the North Carolina primary said they would not vote for Trump if he was convicted of a felony crime. He has just been convicted of 34 of them.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
They're really not going to stop voting for him

according to the NPR poll — 71% of Republicans said they think Trump should be president again.

That drops only 8 points to 63% even if Trump is convicted of a crime.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s more than enough to (hopefully) fook his chances in a tight election though.

My concern is the 'he'll not get elected after this' narrative makes people not urgent to vote and he does get elected

That will work both ways though. He lost a lot of votes last year because he told people it was rigged before hand.

I think the biggest damage will be done in the debates when Biden has to stand and speak and his decline will be clear to many - even though Trump is showing his own signs of dementia. As always it’ll come down to a couple of states and right now it seems 51% to Trump.

Trump won’t turn up for the debates. He will get rinsed by Biden. Biden’s decline doesn’t even come close to the gibberish mess that is Trump.

Aye, at a rally earlier this month Trump lavished praise on Hannibal Lecter being a “wonderful man”. I mean WTF?!!

Trump always comes off far worse in the debates from what I’ve seen.

They’re both struggling with their cognitive functions due to their age, but there’s a vast difference in the starting points of those declines.

Even Biden now is a far more intelligent and debater than Trump has ever been in his life.

The first debate is supposed to be next month so we’ll see. A lot of people aren’t voting for Biden due to his evil stance on Israel so that might cost him. It would be genuinely ruinous for Trump to get in so I really hope I’m wrong. But he has momentum now whereas the Democrats - who have done well in power despite what the right wing media says - don’t seem to have any at all.

And how is a TV debate going to change the minds of people who are already polarised by social media algorithms and don't have the patience or ability to understand a TV debate? Those mean nothing. This case only strengthens Trump's position.

There out too get him

…..

They have recently won a shed load of elections in red states and blue. On the local level and federal. The Republicans now only have a one seat majority in the house.

I have no idea where you are getting your news from Robbsie.

The one thing that Trump keeps boasting about has cost Republicans dearly and will continue to do so. Abortion.

They won’t vote tor Trump but they just won’t vote at all. And while that number may not be in the millions it may well be enough to cost Biden the presidency

The undeniable fact is that this election will be decided by the undecided. Which way will they swing? I honestly don’t know but it’s naive to think Trump and the right wing media which is making him out to be the ultimate pariah won’t use that to their advantage. This ruling will be appealed so can’t see Trump going to jail before the election and the likes of Musk and Putin and the Saudis will pump a shiiiitload of money into making the undecided swing their way.

That won’t happen. America’s political structure is so rigged that they’re not going to take a stance on Biden’s Israel policy to hand it to someone that will be worse.

It's all the fault of immigrants and poor people. The only way to clean up this mess is to invade Agrabah with the full might of the greatest military in the world.
