Back to the OP - I haven’t recovered yet from the disappointment and I sense it’s going to be a while yet before I can look forward with positive anticipation to the new season. I do expect to be in that position btw, but I just can’t feel it atm.

.....and to answer your initial question I feel absolutely fed up and lacking motivation since Sunday. All that long hard season amounted to nothing. Another lame wembley performance backed up by lies from Paraag this week.

Is part of that because it's summer and like me your mood is always a little bit flatter when there's no weekly Leeds to look forward to, would you have felt a little bit like this anyway regardless of the outcome. Has losing just made it feel that much worse so you notice it more?

No. It’s absolutely the defeat. Invested so much time energy and money into the season and the end result is the club being further away from winning trophies and fans all over the county mocking us. Absolutely cheesed off
Cannot be long now until they announce the retained list, Newcastle have done it already as have several other teams.
High profile names will probably include the likes Shackleton, Drameh, Bate, Poveda and probably Liam Cooper which might explain why it's taking so long.
Further down the list, Danii Van Den Heuvel, Harry Christie, Charlie Allen and Joe Snowdon.
It could be quite a purge.

Not 100% on getting rid of coops, if he wants to stay I'd think he is worth another year as an insurance at the moment.
Joe going back to Spurs and Pascal injured... We probably need to bring in two centrebacks so if you bring in two you still need cover and I'd much rather that cover be coops.

Shaun, it’s not worth torturing yourself with all these rumours - at this stage, they’re just clickbait. If history is anything to go by, Leeds will do most of their business in the last couple of weeks before the season starts. Wish it weren’t so, but that’s the Leeds way…

Not sure I agree Matty, Coops came on for Scotland as a second half sub against Gibraltar yesterday. Lasted about half an hour before needing to be subbed off himself. Obviously he hasn't had much game time this season and that probably accounted for it but it looks like his race is run. He's looked more than ragged when he has had minutes for us and another season isn't the answer.
History tells me the Revie sentimentality cost us dear and we held on to players when really we should have upgraded in the 70's. Don't you think we should learn from that.
