Haven't been to the Co-op.
Got tickets for Madness at Cardiff castle in July.
I was lucky enough to to catch the Eagles at old Wembley in 1996, but Pink Floyd at Earls Court in 1994 was the best I've been to.
The best venues I've been to are smaller. Cardiff students union. Anson rooms Bristol and the Colston hall in Bristol. Not a fan of stadium gigs as the sound just doesn't do it for me.
Brixton academy is good, saw Cypress Hill there about 30 years ago. Enjoy the gig man.
Would love to see them. Gets concerning when people start getting old and you haven't seen them yet. Saw Bob Dylan in Belfast around 2003 and was disappointed however. Was very jazzy.
Saw Deep Purple at the Manchester Arena end of 2022 (with Blue Oyster Cult). They were as good and loud as I ever remember them back in the 70s day, despite no John Lord (Don Airey) or Richie Blackmore (Simon McBride).
Saw the incredible Hans Zimmer show also at the Arena a few months later. Hans Zimmer was even louder than Deep Purple were.
Best gig Ive seen in ages was a while ago now, Bruce Springsteen at The City of Manchester Council House. In the absolute pizzing rain. He came on at 6pm until well after 10pm and played just about everything he did.
Hope you enjoy it!
I’m going to see Tool on Monday at the O2. Second time seeing team, I guess they’re kinda old now đ
Can’t wait.
Then Friday at download fest in a couple of weeks - 9th time seeing Queens of the Stone Age đ¤đź
Not really sure on my favourite venue. Ally Pally was pretty cool for Deftones.
Finsbury Park twice for RATM and Iggy Pop/QOTSA
One of the best or guys still doing concerts is Steve Hackett. David Gilmour as well. These two are still playing the guitar as well as they did in the 70’s if not better.
The Mrs and I saw ELO a few years back and they were very good as well.

Cinderella were really good back then.
They were all good to be fair. I really went for Anthrax and Dio, but despite it being Bon Jovi I stayed until the end.
It was only a one day thing back then and if I remember correctly the ticket cost £16.50. We slept in the car and drove back Sunday morning.
Great singer RJD. Loved his spell with Rainbow.

It was Heaven and Hell that sold me on him. I never got to see Rainbow but managed to see Deep Purple twice. Blackmore wasn't with them then though.
Nothing huge but going to see CKY in a small venue in Nottingham in November, loved them back in my teens and they were the first proper gig I went to as a 14 year old at this same venue, saw they were doing a little tour and had to go.
Aint watched a live gig in years...been to all sorts of venues in the past, stadiums & smaller venues, Proms in the park
Used to watch U2 a lot - i'd really love to go watch Eric Clapton & Steve Winwood do some old Blind Faith stuff

Amazing band đđ
My sister went to see The Eagles and Doobie Brothers at Coop Live last night.
Seems all the problems have been fixed and the acoustics were brilliant even on the top level.

Pat Simmons isn't too bad either. He does two of my favorite Doobie songs, I cheat the Hangman and Toulouse Street.
They play a superb outdoor venue called Wolf Trap just outside Washingtom DC.

She sent me a couple of clips from both bands.
Michael McDonald still has it, Joe Walsh is amazing for 78.
The eagles will be great, enjoy. Coop looks a great venue for pre drinks/ food, but there’s loads of places in Manchester anyway.
Going to see Foo Fighters in June, staying over in the city for the evening.
