Are Liverpool fans happy with this arrangement?
———————

Nope. You’ll not see some blind defence from me where I dogmatically stick to defending the money men at the cost of my integrity.

What kind of person would do that?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Someone who hasn’t been able to access all the details yet?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah, that kind of person. Hasn’t got a fvcking clue what they’re on about but staunchly sticks to a polarised defensive view point based on little more than being partizan. They’d look a right fvcking idiot.

Is this the stupid take in the history of JA606?

LFC would have had absolutely zero knowledge of anything of this nature going on. LFC and Standard Chartered are two entirely separate entities connected by a simple sponsorship agreement.

We aren’t like City, faking sponsorship deals where the owners of the sponsor and the club are the fvcking same.

If there’s any truth in the rumours, I’d expect the sponsorship to be removed and replaced with another entirely separate sponsor. It’s how legitimate clubs, unlike Manchester City, do business.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s been going for years, don’t people at your club read the news?

Standard Chartered providing funding for social activists in their fight against western imperialism…sorry democracy

Love a good underdog narrative, helping the Global South break from Western hegemony

They should launch a legal attack on the PL, stating that not being able to be funded by sponsors accused of terrorism is unfair.

Hmm

It was just asking what's the point of the article except for whataboutery and false equivalence?

Nothing has been proven against SCB. If we tried to break ties or do anything based on these rumours they'd absolutely sue our pants off to kingdom come.

They have to be found liable for something before we can act. There is a chance we can act if their reputation is so tarnished so much so that we can prove it's negatively affecting the club.

None of the above will ever happen, but if it does I'm sure the club will take action.

It’s a totally different topic that was a major news story yesterday, should no one talk about it?

Everybody knows what the point of the article is though. We just wanted to see if you'd admit it.

The point is mentioned in the OP

It’s hilarious how often City have been mentioned though despite having no involvement in the matter

Wouldn't I have to be offsetting one subject against another for it to be false equivalence?

Unless my browser's on the blink, I can only see one topic both in my OP and answers.
