When Spurs signed Tanguy I really thought he'd be a top player, it obvs didn't work out and that's perhaps down to the player and perhaps how he was used a wee bit?
Big wages off the account if he has gone and maybe it allows another player to be signed, he does have talent but didn't manage to show it whilst with you, sad that
have to say it's probably our most disappointing ever signing

Most spursy thing I’ve ever heard
He was outstanding for Lyon against City.
What did you do to him?
Odd one, had bags of talent. Bit pogba-esque in that respect, though pogba sometime turned up for us. On paper should have been a great signing, for spurs, would be intriguing as to why it didn’t work
An utter disgrace of a human being.

I don't think it's complex really - he's a poor professional. You can't even point to injuries or anything. His career has regularly been marked with managers calling out his poor fitness, conditioning, and general attitude.
Whoever was responsible for our signings at the time did a crappy job of scouting and due diligence. Worth noting that Sessegnon and Lo Celso signed at the same time. Poch was given a lot of say seemingly at the expense of recruitment professionals
Some players just give up once they get that big money move. They start off well with a smaller club where they’ve had to graft to get to a level where they’re noticed and then they get this huge contract which sets them up for life and it takes the edge away. Which is why the ones who get these contracts and do the opposite and work harder should get all the respect in the world as that’s what every pro should do.
Two of his best highlights were Levy's motivational talk on All or Nothing and Jose taking him running in the park.
Defo the worst signing in the club's history. I wish him well.

Spurs signed him for £54m with add ons taking it up to about 64m. Not much chance of many of those add ons will have been met.
PL - 63 Appearances...so about €1m per game..
6 goals and 5 assists.
Earned about £50m in this time, so.in terminating his contract I wonder if we paid out the full £10m forthe wages due for his final year? Or agreed a lesser sum. Regardless, the guy can now afford to retire in luxury.
Massively talented player and while one could argue he wasn't right for the PL, he has also sucked in the IItalian and Turkish leagues so probably more a case of having very poor attitude.

His role at Napoli was truly bit part and inconsequential in their title win.
Kalvin Phillips had more influence on City' s treble season.

Multi million doesn't even get close.
Imagine getting you pay slip each month that reads £500,000 after tax.
After paying your mortgage and bills probably the best part of £450k left to spend. Insane sums!!

I don’t dispute that. But materially, he has won more than we as a club have. Phacts.
He arrived at Spurs to some sort of fanfare, but having never seen or heard of the bloke I waited to see what the fanfare was all about, still farking waiting, really don't get all this 'but he has talent' carp neither, a few flicks, step overs and a lot of puffing is all I have seen
In terms of the biggest flops the PL has ever seen he has to be right up there. Bad form, bad attitude, injury prone. You could argue it was a make or break signing for us at the time and it broke us and Poch.
