Has a manager ever survived new owners? If Ineos wanted to impose their stamp on things they should have acted decisively. This is just dither.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Depends on your timeframe. Off the top of my head Hughes, Ranieri, Tuchel, Hodgson and even Ten Hag have been kept on for a while after a club takeover. I’m sure many more.

Had you beaten us in the final, as I and many others were expecting to you to, he'd already be gone.
The look on Jim's face at the end of the game said it all. He would be a terrible poker player because it was so
obvious what he was thinking......'oh dear what do I do now'.
Sacking a manager who finishes 8th and doesn't qualify for European football at all is easy. Sacking one who has just beaten the great Pep Guardiola in a final and thus salvaging something from a dismal season is much tougher.
I think they will carry on with him now but they won't commit to a new contract for him unless we have an amazing season. That in itself is going to cause even more uncertainty too. 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If jim IS swayed by one result after previously making the decision to sack him previously as part of the grand plan, then hes a bigger idiot than I thought. Which makes me think he didnt have any plans to sack him, win or lose.

The FA cup may have saved him.
You can't finish 8th as Utd manager and lose 19 games as well as dozens of other embarrassing stats and live to tell the tale. Most people forget about what happened two games ago after a big win and we ended the worst season for a generation with a big win against a rival.
Jim looked happy immediately after the final whistle as we all were but then every time the camera went back to him I thought he looked very uncomfortable personally. Almost like he didn't expect us to win that game and the manager search had already started due to lots of other clubs needing a new manager too.
It's a strange one too as it was a very similar situation to LVG. Only in that one we laboured to an ET win against Palace and with all due respect that's not quite the same as beating Pep's City is it?
I have made my peace with the fact he might stay now. I certainly don't think he's going to win us the league though. He makes far too many mistakes. His preferred style of play last season had a negative effect on the team and it was going defensive / counter approach in
the last 3 games that may have saved his job.
My source has just spoke to me again.
100000% confirmed Ten Hag is gone.

Out of his depth from day one at United. Actually started feeling sorry for him at the end.
United need a juggernaut of a manager.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I knew before he even took over that he simply wasn't good enough. Liverpool will have the same with this Arne Slot... Dutch managers and that Dutch league are just damaged goods.
Hopefully we get Tuchel, Poch, Zidane or De Zerbi.
