I don’t think anyone really had them as favourites before the tournament started hence why they’re dark horses.

They were joint 3rd favorites with Germany to win. Can’t really call them dark horses

Even before the Euros you knew that compared to favourites England:

- they have the better keeper
- defence 50/50
- much better midfield
- better all round attack

Just cos the English bookies had England as favourites does not mean Spain were being slept on.

My dark horse France did okay first game. Hopefully they will continue to surprise.

Most impressive team so far over the two games. Six points, no goals conceded and they had arguably the two hardest opening games of any side.

Cucurella has barely put a foot wrong. Williams is a handful. Ayoze Pérez looked like prime Neymar when he came on.

There are probably adjustments after every round. Odds will probably be shorter by tomorrow.

England and France the clear light horses

England will be favourites due to soft lads putting money on us to win. Thats how betting works (unless you want to be the only bookie to lose money).

Spain have a good chance, but they aren't the same Spain of a few years ago - of course still technically sound, but they play a lot more openly and attack with a lot more pace than they used to.

They are a team that when things go right, look wonderful to watch etc, but although in control last night, could have maybe won more comfortably.

But 6 points after 2 games, what more do you want, and I don't think you want to play too brilliantly in your opening matches. If they really are 8/1, that seems a big price.
But it's very open, you could throw at least half a dozen teams into the mix
