Surprised he's picked us over the Burnley job seeing as he's already tasted being a manager for a CL club.
Finally someone in your coaching staff with hair
Weird article to mention Rashford. He only ever plays as ST when we have no other choice.
Ruud will be very good for Hojlund though. He needs a lot of work from what we've seen so far and who better to learn from than Ruud?
Oh and Rashford will have a good season again this coming year. Just you watch. 👍

You can’t talk
He didn't want the PSV job as he felt it was still too early (just started training a youth team), but management pushed/forced him into in.
Then he more or less got backstabbed by some of his players (complained behind his back directly to upper management about him being too demanding/training too hard), so it's understandable that he wants to take a step back and learn more. As a coach he's also quite in the same mould as EtH about high standards, but as you can see things could go wrong quickly if you don't have a group of players that have that same winner mentality....
I believe this news was already shared in an earlier article on the forum
Ruud, Zirkzee and Branthwaite (who worked under Ruud at PSV and thus makes him Officially Dutch) will send the "ETH has too much control over transfers and only signs Dutch players" brigade into overdrive.

It goes much deeper than we realise. I have it on good authority that Casemiro and Hojlund have both been to Amsterdam on stag dos.

I wonder if ETH and MVDG will expect Ruud to shave his head.
We should really get the whole squad to go bald, a bit like when the Romanians all dyed their hair blonde.
"but as you can see things could go wrong quickly if you don't have a group of players that have that same winner mentality...."
Probably a big reason most great players don't make great coaches to be honest. I like the idea of a coach who has high standards and at the best least demands commitment and professionalism.
Great to have Ruud back though, he always seems very knowledgeable when talking about football.
Bit of a misleading article, he's not "about to join", having a conversation doesn't mean it's going to happen, as we saw with Tuchel, De Zerbi and a host of other managers.
Dan Ashworth's been about to join for 6 months now, as have the Saudis

Yeah there's some footage of Pep coaching a vanarama team and instantly improving them with some low level tips, and Hiddink drilling a ragtag South Korean squad in 3 weeks into a well-oiled machine, but those guys are very rare. If you're used to working with the very best of City or Real Madrid, it seems impossible to lower your standards to ordinary pro's, let alone a glorified pub team...
I think the lads in England have much more respect for Ruud, so he has much more authority and won't run into the same issues as quickly.
Team screaming out for experience but surely at 47 Ruud is too old to lead our frontline! FFS!

It's a disgrace. Ten hag managed Bayern Munich 2 and zirkzee played there but at different time.
The facts are there for all ten hag is rooted into this club from top to bottom, what next fking spliffs before matches?
Louis van gaal as kit man?
Van Persie as the waterboy?!
Sick of this club
I remember Keown going psycho on him all those years ago after he missed the penalty. RVN I believe was our best finisher in the PL era.
