80m a season from a huge airline or global tech firm is fine with me as long as that money helps the club.
First was getting nice with Keir to get the tax payers to build us a new stadium.
Now this.
As time goes on it is coming more clearer Sir Jim ain't got the money. Cutting down staff, trying to use the poor to make him even more richer. Welcome the Glazers 2.0.

Jim is the richest Brit alive. He is worth more than the Glazer offspring combined.
He also doesn't own the club. He owns 27% so expecting him to fork out billions of his how own money whilst the Glazers still have a majority is also unrealistic.
He's actually invested £300m so far as well. That's £300m in the first 6 months and £300m more than the Glazer family have ever invested. They haven't put a single penny into the football club in 19 years.
Can someone explain to me why Spotify are spending so much to sponsor Barcelona’s stadium? They don’t make a profit as it is, but they’re spending another €70m a year on something that likely won’t generate additional revenue for them (surely Spotify subscribers have hit saturation?)

I might be wrong but I believe it's already been invested. We have recently paid off quite a large portion of outstanding transfer fees that we still owed and it's been used towards that as well as the upcoming renovation at Carrington.
I stand to be corrected on this but I'm sure I read he's already put that money in.

I work from home 3 days a week so it would be remiss of me to just say feck all those staff after being told it's back to the office or you're looking for a new job.
At the same time if performance is slipping then working from home privileges are often taken away. That's not unique to just United. I worked for a company for nearly 9 years and they implemented WFH for a while even before the pandemic and sadly that ended as a certain department ruined it for everyone by not pulling their weight. A few were seen in a pub with their calendars showing they had meetings and that was that. CEO went mad and everyone had to return full time. It didn't go down well I will tell you.
I think we need to give Jim a chance personally. There's been more good than bad so far that's for sure.
What new stadium is this we are talking about?
Jims not going to finance a new build stadium untill he owns the club LS&B. If he ever does.
The new stadium when it does come will be sponsored by a huge corporation. Maybe a Disney type company. ey They could call it the Disney 'Theatre of Dreams'. That would work well for them.

United fans cannot have it both ways.
Club being mismanaged, set up and infrastructure being ignored, money being wasted across the board, zero investment from the owners (which often translates to zero interest in actually optimising club operations at all levels).
Compare that to a businessman like Sir Jim who has built and run businesses from nothing and made them massively successful, an entrepreneur that has to take big risks which teaches the value of investing in the right areas and minimising waste.
He probably looks at the United setup and sees money leaking from everywhere, wastage at every level and this probably really yanks his chain.
He will be looking to take you from a loosely controlled setup that naturally (because of your huge revenues) creates an attractive bottom line, to a tight ship that will optimise efficiencies across the club and give him a bigger bottom line to better the football side of the club.
With Mr Marginal gains on side too, this will only increase the sense that no stone will be left unturned in finding efficiencies. (Levy-esque economics) and that will include ticket prices, sponsors etc.
It should be welcomed by United fans. The only question i would have is are the right people in place to deliver on the football side. His record at Nice is hardly glowing and his buying out of the dominant Sky Cycling Team has lead to them falling off their perch, now 2nd or 3rd in the rankings.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
As part of the purchase of the club. Yes, something has to give to own the most valuable sports club in the work. He has committed to investing this amount, it is not done and dusted.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I might be wrong but I believe it's already been invested. We have recently paid off quite a large portion of outstanding transfer fees that we still owed and it's been used towards that as well as the upcoming renovation at Carrington.
I stand to be corrected on this but I'm sure I read he's already put that money in.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The money is definitely going to be paid seeing as it was part of the deal.
I understand to a degree where you are coming on that he is not the 100% owner. At the same time, I won't say I have been a fan of some of the things he has done since coming in, specifically attacking staff with redundancies and return back to work malarkey.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I work from home 3 days a week so it would be remiss of me to just say feck all those staff after being told it's back to the office or you're looking for a new job.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
United fans cannot have it both ways.

On the stadium, it will make no difference to me if it gets re named. It will still be Old Trafford to me.
