How far back do people go at Glastonbury on here? I go back to 92, anyone go back to the 80s.
It would be interesting if anyone was at The Smiths year and can recollect it.

Eavis always says that when the Smiths played the festival it changed everything and began the transformation of a few hippies in a field to what it is today.
I was too young to see them and it was listening to my older sister playing their albums (she was a stereotypical 6th former of that era) that got me interested.
However a mate of mine saw them a couple of times in Chippenham and Oxford and he always says the thing that stays with him was the sheer adulation of the audience he says he's never seen anything close it was like a religion.
Lucky bstard I'd love to have seen them live.
Paul Heaton is bloody brilliant. Saw him last year at Neighbourhood Weekender
A musical genius who’s very underrated. Shame about Jackie though.

Lauper’s making my ears bleed. I know she’s 71, but feck me this is brutal. Like watching Joe Biden trying to do Glasto.

94-95 for me, forget exactly. Prodigy were headlining. Don't remember much beyond that. Scaled the fence to get in after trudging through fields for a few miles. Slept on the floor whenever the effects of drugs wore off enough.

Been trying to follow Glasto on the iPlayer, but it’s been pretty shambolic so far. Looks like the coverage has been set up by a kid on a school project. Every option is tagged “live”, but almost none of it is, and the trailer pics don’t match up with the actual content. If you do find something on catch up, you can’t fast forward through it. Sound is pretty hit and miss as well. Other than that, way to go Beeb.
Masego on West Holts doing a good set, thought Little Simz was decent
