Facking BBC cut off from Cold Little Heart halfway thru the song

Been trying to follow Glasto on the iPlayer, but it’s been pretty shambolic so far. Looks like the coverage has been set up by a kid on a school project. Every option is tagged “live”, but almost none of it is, and the trailer pics don’t match up with the actual content. If you do find something on catch up, you can’t fast forward through it. Sound is pretty hit and miss as well. Other than that, way to go Beeb.

Absolutely this - though they have dropped some individual sets under categories, they haven’t dropped a couple that I want to see. Surely they have cameras at all stages?

I also found the individual stage channels vanish when the stage ends. Does anyone know if you keep the tab open if you can still play it?

We’re 5 hours behind and I’ve got tabs going for every stage so I can try and avoid the awful presenters talking. Plus the segments about acts ‘journeys’ getting to Glasto.

Also just to chime in, I did the full festival circuit 2001-2010 and don’t particularly enjoy modern pop but there is lots to enjoy in this lineup still. Some good old timers, the odd indie band, a number of good dance & electronic acts, some great afrobeats.

Coldplay are still worthy headliners.

I liked the bit with the brass section, a little different.

I’d have gone to see idles and bloc party, an out an out raver like the chems was a miss this year., they were epic. Lineup gets worse each year seemingly when it comes to headliners

Chems aren’t great live. Always found them underwhelming. Underworld would be better, A true raver would be no where near any of the main stages anyway.

Love or hate Coldplay, that was exactly how you headline a stage.

That’s true about Coldplay. . I’d say Emerson on his own doing a set would be better than underworld as a collective , never found them all that great.

Darren left them a while ago didn’t he? DJ sets are for the dark sweaty places and def has its place. But for something like a glasto stage, it’s got to be a big live act.

Either way, watching it on telly from my sofa is rubbish 😂

There’s too many euphoric songs for me. Creates a crowd absolutely but it’s too regular given how often they’ve played it and it’s indicative of there not being that many bands now capable of playing the pyramid.

Been a real lack coming through in the last ten years to that level. It’s either legacy acts or go in a completely different direction which doesn’t really work. They’ll probably headline again in the next five years…

I can both agree and disagree with everyone there.

Coldplay are a headline act, they 'put on a show' but there wasn't enough from their first 3 albums for me.

Idles have been the best act so far.

The Chems always nail it at Glasto, disappointed that this is the 2nd (3rd?) year without them.

Underworld were pretty average last time out despite being one of my fave bands - The same could be said for New Order without Peter Hook.

The Legends Slot is hit and miss, loved Elton and McCartney, I doubt I'll watch Shania Twain

She’s doing the legends slot during the day isn’t she? So more comparable to Lionel Richie or Dolly Parton than McCartney or Elton John.

What a gig. Was that 87 or 90, it looks like bowie played both years?

Jeezo, I remember when Paloma Faith could sing. What was that shouty, screechy mess?

Agree. It was all a bit too "feelgood" and euphoric. Needed some of the relative darkness of A Rush Of Blood To The Head.
