Hmm. Never been that convinced by him since he left Ajax.

30 appearances for Bayern last season too which isn’t too good, was he injured or out of favour?
Out of favour. Got dropped for Eric Dier.
Also no longer first choice for the national team.
Probably better ceiling than braithwaite

Don't think so
Flopped at Juve and Bayern. Spent long periods in the treatment room at both clubs. Will fit right in at Utd then.
We should steer clear in all seriousness!
He’s 24 and played under Erik before, could potentially strike a grate partnership with Butcher if he recovers his form again. I don’t think we should be going over £40m
He wasn’t dropped for Dier, he was easily Bayerns best CB last season, if anyone was dropped it was Kim. The reason Bayern want to sell is because he’s on silly wages that they want to lower, he’s injury prone and he’s slow and supposedly doesn’t suit what Kompany wants moving forward.
He’d improve our defence but I just don’t see us spending such a large part of our budget on a player who is injury prone and will demand very high wages, it’s just doesn’t fit with what INEOS are supposedly after.
Not sure how good he is now, but even if it turns out he is not good enough to be 1st choice, we will need to replace Lindelof soon.
He wasn’t dropped for Dier,

Yeah you might be right actually, do remember him playing in the CL games thinking about it.

A certain Brazilian, Antony, turned out well! 😂
So we are targeting a Dutch CB who is injury prone, slow and on high wages and a Dutch striker who doesn't actually score many goals and is behind Weghorst in the Dutch set up?
Watch out PL. We are coming for that 7th spot.

Don’t see braithwaite as having much more than he’s already shown. May be wrong, but he doesn't look much more than an averagely decent PL CB

New season not even started but here we go
What happened to being dead cert chemical Jim was axing?
Never really been a fan. Don’t see the point of signing the Dutch Maguire when we already have the real thing.
Ha, yeah I’ve always seen him as a better version of slabhead but with a far worse injury record. You’d think our scouts would be able to identify better options and I’d be very concerned if we’re still letting the manager choose targets.
They can have him for Sancho or Greenwood.

He saved himself winning the cup which I don't think Jim thought was going to happen. Neither did I.
Don't think he's going to suddenly turn into a top manager off the back of it though. This is still the same guy who lost 19 games in a season and finished 8th with a minus GD.
They are both very underwhelming transfers in my opinion if they go through.

I don’t think we are, we’ve got a director of football now. I think we’ll probably end up getting Branthwaite.
But the reports are claiming this bid isn’t instead of Branthwaite. Not that I believe them as I just can’t see the sense of going for de Ligt.
Didn’t Everton sell someone meaning they don’t need to sell now? Of course they can still choose to sell him but I can see them not budging on the fee which could be a big stumbling block.
I sincerely doubt we’d sign both of them. Not sure exactly what’s happening with Everton’s finances, but clearly the player wants to leave. I think we’ll probably get it done eventually.
I wonder if the De Ligt move could be a loan?
It still seems Ten Hag is in charge of transfers despite the rumours it’s a Wilcox enterprise
Must have been some confusion at the club when ETH said he'd be De Ligt-ed with a new centre back.
