Is Skipp just paper talk?

Heard from someone who apparently knows Skipp’s agent that the deal is basically done. That was a week or two ago.

Skipps a good player and made loads of appearances for us - very similar to Harry Winks but more tenacious in the tackle.
His weakness as a midfielder is that he can’t progress the ball, create chances or score goals, he is very much a defensive midfielder that wins it and makes a short pass.
Both he and Winks are easily good enough for lower half Prem sides - but Leicester and Leeds are fine clubs and bigger than the likes of Bournemouth, so I can see the appeal of helping you guys win the Champ and becoming integral to the side. Winks just wanted to play regularly and that will be Skipps mindset also I would imagine

That was a huge reason why we didn't get promoted last season though. A lack of players that could progress the ball effectively. Meant that we could tear teams apart that were open but struggled to break down organised teams.

Fair enough, I can only tell you what sort of player he is - if someone didn’t know already.
I think he would be right up there as one of the best DM’s if not the best DM in the Champ - he has Connor Gallagher levels of fitness and tenacity.
I mean the guy has played regular Champions league football and been picked by the likes of Poch and Conte - you would be getting a solid player
Skipp and Ampadu would be solid. Really solid.
Apparently Rennes are sniffing around Kamara.
"Modern day football I’m afraid - he’s Leeds to the core but that doesn’t mean he wants to stay with us in the Championship. Loyalty can only go so far and of course he will know that the owners have no real loyalty to him or any of the players."
I'd think he knows more about the problems around the club than anyone here, and after talks he might have agreed to it to help the club he loves to get back on track!..
Mind, we had another player that did that and got the crap kicked out of him around the world of the internet, something I don't think will happen to Archie!..
