Happy Labour's are in - even if they don't encapsulate what they traditionally should, Tories have systematically being breaking the country down for 14 years with a lot of unelected officials leading the charge.
It is concerning that the landslide nature of the win is largely being credited to Reform, especially as those sorts of people will never actually vote on policies in large, but all in all a day for celebration and potentially something to look forward to for the first time in a while.

Congrats guys. It is a long road but the rot had to be stopped. All politicians are thieving snidy facks but the tories are the kings of that, it cannot be any worse, for that we should be thankful.

It's not just Europe either is it. Canada's looking like turning right wing, and the US will have that maniac back if Biden doesn't step down. It's almost enough to make you wonder if the politicians and media outlets are in cahoots and don't really have normal people's best interests at heart
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The conditions will be ripe in the UK now. Labour will balls up immigration even more than the Tories did and it will give Reform or even a more right wing hybrid Conservative Party far more teeth and grassroots support. The far right movement will come back with a huge bang in the next 5 years
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't think so myself.
No Tories or Reform in Wales.
Result!

The disappointment in 2 years time is going to be huge as we realise nothing has really changed.
The worry here is the foot in the door the Tories have given to Reform. Just enough to start building a platform on

This guy knows where I live apparently (probably thinks north Wales is a village) and has threatened me with violence. On a public forum. If I get beaten up randomly then we know a suspect already!
This whole election has simply shown the need for PR - just to give a fair result.
I'm not in favour of any particular party, but if you actually look at the percentage split of how the UK voted, more people combined voted Tory and Lib Dem compared to Labour, but of course FPP doesn't reflect that.
There should be no need for tactical voting, but until we change the system, you never get a truly representative result.
The excuses for not having PR, because it leads to coalition govts etc is just backward and antiquated - virtually all other countries in Europe manage to get on with it, about time we grew up and did the same.
But regardless of who is in charge, you still get incompentency.........................
I think Britain desperately needs PP rather than FPTP
Where can you see actually vote numbers or percentages?
