That's daylight robbery and from City's owners no less.

I know he's been s*** for us, but Chelsea manage to sell their s*** players for way more than that.

Must be money laundering going on here, which is hardly surprising given it involves City Group. Only explanation for how we’d be given money for an asset that doesn’t actually exist.

United have finally given up the ghost

Easy add ons for €5m for someone who never plays for us and is taking decent wages, it’s not terrible is it.

Hope the add ons aren’t linked to game time though

7m in wages off the books too.

€500k! I could have bought him for my 5 a side team!

I thought eth was at the wheel

Good luck to the lad. Had a terrible time since signing with us.

Correct, he was terrible at football

He’ll be no loss to United. Terrible transfer.

Get Sancho out the door for circa £40m and that probably three very good sales on the footballing front.

Its nit worked out, but to say he is terrible at football is just silly.

Terrible is a stretch, but he’s not Prem standard.

He's doing nothing this summer while his country, even in the midst of a midfield injury crisis, play a semi final in the euros without him.

Agreed, he wasn’t that good.

Perhaps "terrible" for the level of player a club might expect at the initial cost for him? to be fair I had high hopes when he arrived but never saw anything in the cameos he had to suggest he would make the level required, also I feel he mustn't have dome enough at training to change the minds of those that matter?

Good luck to the fellah though

Great move for Donny.

He'll be in the CL next season when we'll be slumming it in the Europa!

He's hardly played in the last 2 years, so can't really be expected to be picked, whatever the injury crisis. The Dutch have some cover there.

It would be silly to only take one injury hit-player in a certain position and have no natural cover there..................

It really didn't work out for Donny, and that's sad for all concerned. But we move on. I hope mentally what has happened over the last few seasons doesn't stop him getting back to playing at a decent level. When you're on the money he is on, it's more about career satisfaction from a football point of view rather than bucks in the bank.

Probably a top five pick in terms of United’s worst ever signings for the first team.

Not far behind Sanchez (who, granted, got on the ball much more often than Van De Ghost; it’s just that when he did, you always really wished that he hadn’t).

I posted on another thread a few days ago about the add-ons.

The easy achievable add-ons include being named as a sub, being left out of the match day squad and being sent out on loan.

The more difficult add-ons include coming on as sub, starting a match and having a half decent game.

Jay Slater is said to be very surprised that Donny is still alive.
