Tbf it's very difficult to not get excited over 14 goals in 52 apps for Bologna. PL title here we come.
Obviously I jest......I don't think we are signing anything more than a squad player here though. Hopefully one that can stay fit (sorry Martial) and do a job for us.

If we paid the release clause wasn’t 50% of that going to Bayern? Surely they won’t be too happy with us for this, and will just increase the fee for De Ligt (unless they already have)?
Decent price over time for the young player of the year in that league, hopefully does well and at least lets us have different options when needed, and to not over work Hoijlund. Healthy competition.

Don't think Bayern will be too bothered. They'll still get their 50%. So they will actually receive slightly more. How they get paid will be between them and Bologna, but I'd imagine it's already been worked out if Bologna are happy to receive Zirkzee's fee from United over 3 years.
Much more like van Persie than van Nistelrooy, but yeah, good news.
