I'd seen him linked with various clubs. Didn't realise it was definitive that he'd be sold. In that case, Sancho makes sense. Likely to be a lot more effective in the French league, and slotting into a team more adept at moving opposing defences around than United.

So many rumours going about, hard to know what to believe.................

True, Zirkzee and Yoro were rumours, then concrete interest into new arrivals very quickly! We've not seen anything like this before.

I think we'll have many ins and outs this window than we hoped for! Sir Jim's new team are thankfully busy and productive from day 1!

Send Sancho to PSG and loan Xavi Simons off them with a view to buying him later maybe.

I have barely seen any of the incoming signings play before but fck it.

I believe Berbaking wasn't claiming expertise on the player, but questioning whether your knowledge is deep enough to make that kind of declaration. Anyway, it took me two clicks to read that Palmeiras have sold star players to Chelsea and West Ham this summer, are good for cash and keen to consolidate their squad, and have explicitly said they're not selling Rios this summer. Probably enough to be sceptical of a bargain deal.

He hasn’t been sold yet, but I’ve read it will be done this summer as he doesn’t want to stay at PSG.

With all these new signings, the excuse will be, need 2 years for them to gel..................

Sell Casemiro, don't take up loan option on Amrabat, McT stays as back up, in comes Ugarte and Rios. Simples..................

Let's be honest..... nobody really believed Sancho and ETH had made up did they? Clearly it's all a rouse to make a sale more realistic. I'm quite positive that Sancho still doesn't like him and likewise that Erik thinks he's a bit of a pansy for the way he overreacted.

If we can get 25-30m plus his wages off the books then it's a no brainer. He's been a disastrous signing. Can't beat an egg.

Um, I was kidding about 2 years, but some will need more time than others.............

Just noticed that today's midfielder recruitment rumour mill is currently linking us with Monaco's Youssouf Fofana as well as Ugarte and (less plausibly) RR. From what I've read/clips, Fofana is a bit more of an all-round midfielder than Ugarte, with a better range of progressive passing, a better ball carrier, less focused on defensive screening, but strong in the tackle and covers ground quickly. Entering the final year of his contract, he's linked to Milan for something like €18m so would be a much cheaper option than Ugarte.
