If Ten Hagapologists want to wax lyrical about him winning the Dutch League, why can't Poch be given credit for winning the title with PSG?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No one really waxs lyrical about ETH though, let alone calls him world class.

Let's face it, you tried to wum and are a bit too stupid to keep the wum believable.

"This is a myth. If we actually managed to get an appointment right post-Fergie then we'd have carried on dominating."

Na you wouldn't. United's problems run a lot deeper than just appointing the wrong manager. The Glazers as owners, Woodward, crap signings, spending more than City, briefings, counter briefings and leaks from disgruntled employees, players or staff within the club, other clubs modernising stadia and training facilities before United, Old Trafford falling apart.

You get the gist
----------------------------------------------------------------------
With a proper manager we would have carried on our dominance.

Imagine if we got Pep, Klopp or Jose in 2013 and were backing them all with 200 million a season.

The trophies would have been won on a quarterly basis pretty much.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
United would still be mismanaged off the pitch with owners largely hated by the fanbase, Woodward would still be inept.

The reason Klopp came to Liverpool was that we had everything going in the right direction off the pitch. The right people, Edwards etc, were in place and the club as a whole was moving in the right direction. Same with Pep at City, the groundwork was done before.

United's off the pitch issues meant Pep or Klopp wouldn't go post Fergie, it's a moot point.

I'm glad the manager is giving his players no excuse to do any slacking. If we are going to do anything this season training, the CS, and everything else needs to be taken seriously.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Charity Shield is literally just a curtain raiser of a match. It's not a trophy, nor is it a final. The fact that we, Manchester United, now have a manager claiming it as a trophy is pathetic.

Sack him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I know it's not that important but surely, in a new season, it's important to get standards as high as possible straight away?

This could be one of those strange seasons where City have a bit of a drop off because of the 115 charges and Pep potentially leaving, Arsenal having a hangover because of two close title races, Liverpool with a new manager, Villa perhaps not pushing on. If (a big it I know) we get a PL where there's no outstanding team then I'd like to think we could be in amongst it this year if we do things right.

Manager's talk shiite, plums who get angry about that shiite need a long look at their life.

This wumming isn't both clever enough or funny enough. Enjoy the rest of the day

It is not wumming to want to protect the best interests of Manchester United.

Tuchel is better than ETH. Fact.

Zidane is better than ETH. Fact

Poch is better than ETH. Fact.

Yet we are choosing to back a manager that has no credibility. 8th place, no style of play, no charisma, can't manage big stars... he's a shyite Dutch version of Brendan Rodgers ffs. At least Brendan has a style of play.

He has to go. Seriously we are going to set ourselves back 5 years by keeping him.

I hope we start the season really badly so he gets potted in October/November time and we bring in a serious manager.

OP you've not considered he's trying to get his team and teams fans up for the game then?

would you rather him say, 'yeah don't bother turning up fans, we're not trying and don't think its important"?

show a bit of personalityyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I'd rather he got sacked because he is not good enough.

This is the same as Liverpool in 2015 deciding to stick with Rodgers and give him a new contract.

The community shield is beneath the bloody Europa Conference League ffs.

Watch him celebrate like it's the UCL if we win it.

He's pathetic.

right, so its nothing to do with what he said, (his mindset ref the community shield)... its more to do with you wanting him sacked, and you're picking up on any little thing then creating an article over it..

correct?

Meh, to each their own.

Personally, I don't get that excited at the thought of winning either. I forget them as soon as the next league fixture comes around. Could argue the community shield is more of an occasion tbh.

Good job really

I mean you could argue the shield is more of an occasion, but you’d lose that argument pretty emphatically.

Loads is a stretch but it was more the point that you’ve not won a league cup in over three decades.
