Arteta has blood on his hands
It's good we are proactively poaching the best talent from other academies. A note of caution is that we've seen lots of cases of players breaking scoring records at youth level then failing to translate it to senior football, and I gather (have never even watched a clip) that Obi Martin has a significant physical advantage over his peers, which is likely to narrow when playing against adults.

Time to bring Chuba Akpom home?
Best in the world if we..
Ffs Barry
If he scored 10 past Liverpool that’s good enough for me
I understand the excitement of United fans over this kid.
See the headlines.
Read the reports.
He's a BIG lad. Much bigger than the kids I've seen clips of him playing against.
From what I've seen, he's not particularly slick, skilful, or pacy, quite a 'scruffy' sort of player, relying more on his (current) dominant physique to get the better of his opponents than anything.
Rumours you've offered him £40k per week. Any idea whether that's true?
Crazy, if so.

Yes, he's a big lad, he's 6 2" already
Never seen him play but stats are impressive, 10 goals in one game is phenomenal. I like the fact our new set up up are targeting talent not for now but ones we can nurture with the future in mind here or sell on for profit elsewhere.

40k a week is crazy.

Can you provide any proof of this.
We don't tend to offer anything close to this for a first professional contract which this will be.

He looks world class against kids half his size.
Put the cheque on the table , get the deal done.
Actually he's not Dutch, not interested.

Yeah other Arsenal fans I know aren’t happy with him for the treatment of youth tbh.

And other Arsenal fans have convinced themselves United are paying him £40k a week on a scholarship contract, rather than admit that managerial failing.
It's a professional contract when he turns 17 not a scholarship contract
He’ll be on a scholarship first because he’s 16.
I don’t know where the £40k a week emanated from, but I heard it relayed by an Arsenal reporter/writer who has good connections with the club. He’s not someone who tends towards hyperbole either.
£40k a week for Arsenals best generational talent ever that I’d only heard of 4 days ago, bargain.

And maybe Arsenal fans are right knowing the silly money spend on some players in the past.
