So entrenched in your anti-israel identity that you can't understand that olympic bannings are political decisions. If they were made on the basis of persecution against humanity then China, Qatar, India etc. would also be banned along with the UK after the Iraq War.

Sorry for pointing put a pretty obvious correlation between the actions of Russia and Israel. I'd bet of China started firing missiles at Taiwan killing civilians discussion would be had about using a ban from the Olympics as a form of sanction.
The main thing is probably Palestine are represented at the Olympics, as are Ukraine. Is it fair their athletes are forced to compete against Russian or Israeli athletes?
Some Israeli athletes at the Olympics are also enrolled in the IDF.

Should IDF soldiers be given 6 weeks off from bombing schools and refugee camps, tying Gazans to car bonnets & killing civilians and hostages to compete at the Olympics in front of billions?
Strange question when I'm not the one trying to determine a persecution threshold for olympic bannings her.
If you want to claim Israel should be banned but not others then it's up to you to determine that threshold.
Not sure why you think a Country which makes a billion people second class citizens, puts them behind bars in factories, and puts over a million in them in correction camps should be allowed to attend though. Is that because you're fond of cheap goods?

I will never quite understand the partisan nature of debate regarding this conflict. Why is there such a polarised view on this? Is it not possible to sympathise with both sides stuck in the middle of wars such as this? I see marches in the western world crying 'free palestine' with not so much as a sniff of a reference to the atrocities on October 7th.
Articles such as this one are nothing more than grand-standing by resident virtue-signallers. Utter nonsense.

Some of us decent people feel for the victims on all sides, others just do what they were taught in the Madarasas

What are they taught?

I know of no other regime that says children and babies are targets.
Israel is a special kind of evil.

How many Uyghurs are competing at the Olympics and under what flag? The same for migrant workers in Qatar, or Muslims in majority Hindu India?
If you can't make the distinction between domestic ethnic human rights issues and abuses and international conflict between two nations then you must be a bit dim.

Oh I see so your threshold is now that it must involve international conflict between two nations
So South Africa shouldn't have been banned then?

Why do you keep answering a question with a question?
The main issue is should Palestinian or Ukranijan competitors be made to compete against Israeli or Russian competitors?
They've allowed some Russians to compete under a neutral flag.
