The problem with Richi last season was games missed. He was scoring at 2 every 3 games so could have had another 6 to 10 if fit all season.
This is what I like about getting ANOTHER striker. Have 2 gives us options and continual strength in that position if one if injured or off form. It will keep them fresher. We really must start the league with 2 strikers and not sell one and rely on Son or kids as back up. That is what a strong club does. 30 goals between them would be great. Another 30 to 35 from Son Johnson Deki Werner really requires another quality player like Eze or Neto.. 15 from midfield and 10-15 from defence of which Porro should get half a dozen.

how many we concede however that needs to lower significantly.
its difficult to see how we will significantly concede fewer goals though with the style of play and personnel. which could be why fall short
the reason we need another forward is because that right hand side especially go hiding or lose the ball too easily which means the ball comes straight back towards our goal again.
midfield wise confuses me cause i feel we are technically lacking and also not much steel or legs in there, but we have quiet a lot of players there none of them particularly bad, lots of young players too. the '6' doesnt seem to sit as much as they should to protect the defence either
at 74 already , seem to be signing a CF that will actually be available for more than 20 games. potentially signing another attacker in addition to that too. 90 probably too high but seems like we could get up to 80-85 pretty easily
Goals against would still be prohibitive of a challenge - we more or less need to halve the amount we concede.
Need to hope that Ange finds the balance between defence and attack this year

yep we concede far too many goals... and a big chunk are silly self inflicted ones too.

like the first 10 games of last season. We looked solid enough until the injuries and suspensions etc. Hopefully those first 10 games were not a fluke, luck etc and we can replicate it with some consistency over a season.
Traditionally 74 scored would have you very much in the conversation for 3rd.
61 conceded, though, would have you in the conversation of relegation battles. Until last season, when both you and Villa managed to be in the top 4 discussion, conceding that many wouldn't get you close to CL football. Only 6 conceded more the season before - and one was Spurs - whereas only City, Arsenal and Liverpool scored more than 74. Same story in 21/22 while in 20/21 only City scored more than 74!

not to mention we won a shockingly low number of penalties relative to the amount of time we spent in the final third
Don't forget the target at the other end of the pitch, cause there's no point scoring 90 goals if we're going to concede over 60.

Good thing about Solanke is he's tall, physically pretty big and quite good at headers. It would be nice to have another goal scorer to rely on in the box when we take corners, since our top scorer is a regular corner taker as it is.

Yeah would be nice to add some height. I hope we're actually working on set pieces because we were desperately poor at them both in attacking and defending. I expected better than we got from Maddison when it came to free kicks.
I fear this season for us.
It looks like we are trying to be slightly more patient tactically, i then think we get countered more in the centre of the pitch, then pushing the ball out wide and concede more. Fatawu and Vardy if he starts will be licking their lips first game of the season.
Certainly do not expect us to score as many, we looked toothless last season in quite a few games with no different personnel i do not see that changing.
