it's a lot of money for someone with his injuries, more than I would have been comfortable paying

he's a lovely player but I think we probably made the right decision

I'm still baffled by the decision to resign Werrner, Esp knowing that the priority was to sign a CF, Meaning Son wouldn't have to play there...... Solomon & Werner are such Spurs signings..... No serious club would have considered those deals. We only did coz they were cheap.

Werners wages could have been spend on a package for Eze

I think Werner meant we could have a backup LW for the season without making any kind of long term commitment

I imagine the plan is Moore takes his spot next season

It'll be annoying if he stays fit for them

Im not sure we need any of those... Im fine with Spence backing Up Porro, Davies and Drag filling in at CB and VDV sifting across to RB.

I guess a couple of the Kids are gonna get meaningful minutes this season, Esp with more games... Gotta think Bergvall & Mikey Moore will see action

with that said I'd blow whatever budget we have on Eze.... He's a statement signing if we are serious about being an attacking force and are gonna compete on 4 fronts.. who knows

Did Ash Philips go back out on loan or is he likely to be part of the squad ?

Doesn’t matter if he’s only fit to play 20 games, because Chelsea probably have another seven or eight players in his position on their books.

The bloke is an absolute crock. Yet more wasted money by Chelsea, its incredible how much money they waste.

Yeah those hamstrings would definitely be a concern. Probably why no one else seems to have seriously gone in for him.

When he is fit though, he is a hell of a weapon to have.

I believe we are paying £57m for Solanke… according to reports… maybe there’s add ons in that deal…

Neto & Chiesa would be a huge risk… both injury prone, though Chiesa would be half the price…

Why’s no one mentioning Jonathan David… he’d be worth paying £25m for…

That was the priority over fit and quality

I agree that Neto is better than BJ but BJ out scored and assisted Neto in his 2 PL seasons because Neto misses so many games.

Who knows if this pattern will continue, but BJ is a young player and the hope is he gets better and better. Those writing him off are being a bit unfair IMO.

As a full-back, you’d love to play against BJ - not going to get round you if there’s no space in behind.
