These 'lack of cooperation' charges really make me laugh when no one knows what questions were being asked.

Sponsorship deals involve 2 parties, maybe the directors of Nissan, Nike and other Multi National companies etc didn't want the details of deals sharing with a panel made up of influential people employed by rival clubs.

Maybe Masters think Pep is being unhelpful by not revealing his starting XI 24 hours before a game, maybe he thinks there should be a public livestream of the tactics session.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

CAS themselves ruled that City were guilty of not cooperating with the investigation and they were fined 10m.

Fact is City could have cooperated with the PL investigation fully and this would not have even come this far if their evidence/information addressed the accusations.

The fact they chose not to and would rather deal with it in a lengthy expensive legal process, where they are able to tie the PL in knots on legal technicalities says a lot.

They could have been 100% open book but are hiding behind commercial confidentiality as a reason not to share key information.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
City cooperated with CAS though, probably on the basis they were deemed an impartial body and the details would remain confidential.

How about a change of pace,

Please tell.us what you know that makes you so adamant City have done no wrong/it's all a conspiracy by the 'red cartel'.

You're quick to deflect, engage in whataboutery and tell us of City's innocence yet you never back it up with anything substantial.

Think it's fair to say that none of us fans know what was/was not said by anyone?

Even after the whole thing is finished it's unlikely we will know either, if there is a guilty or not guilty verdict is about as much as I'd assume will be said?

That said, I have no idea?

And yes, all the "said" was deliberate in case I sounded even more of a tool than usual

City's statement:-

Manchester City FC is surprised by the issuing of these alleged breaches of the Premier League Rules, particularly given the extensive engagement and vast amount of detailed materials that the EPL has been provided with.

The Club welcomes the review of this matter by an independent Commission, to impartially consider the comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence that exists in support of its position.

As such we look forward to this matter being put to rest once and for all.

Huge reputational damage was probably the original motive considering the timing of the charges.

They've probably achieved that here but no one seems that interested on an international scale.

Boris, I've said on other threads that I have little or no interest generally in the whole shooting match, some others have a deeper desire to invest and comment about it?

Each to their own but whatever happens I do not think there will be massive statements given about what was said or not, time will tell however

The whole of the PL is corrupt.

If justice were done, it would all come down to an Ipswich-Spurs double header.

First league title since 1962!

You look at City’s lack of signings and wonder if players are refusing to consider them because of the case.

Echeverri?? He sounds like an Italian version of a fuc*ing Pokemon ffs. Some random youth player doesn't count and nor does Savinho as you already owned him.

The only evidence in the public domain known so far are the hacked emails.
Mancini has publicly denied that he was paid off the books.
Yaya Toure and his agent (who don't like City) have publicly denied that they were paid off the books.
CAS has ruled that there was no back door payment from the Sheikh to Etihad.
Etisalat case was partly time barred even though, witnesses were presented during the CAS hearing.

So, unless the PL has a smoking gun, the case will follow the same trajectory just like CAS hearing.

CAS decided that some of the charges were time-barred during their hearing and it was their decision that no further action was necessary.

This doesn't automatically mean there wasn't evidence to prove City were innocent of the charges, neither was it a legal mechinism that City hid behind.

If City wanted to clear their name they could produce documented evidence of the flow of money from sponsors to City. This would also be in the sponsors best interest to prove that they had not been complicit in a ruse to boost City's revenues.

As these sponsors are state owned and the City owner is a Emirati royal and politician, the links are very close and you'd except the ability to provide the water tight counter evidence (if it actually exists) would be right there....seems like the willingness isn't, which makes you wonder why...oh yeah, commercial confidentiality

I could show you this unequivocal counter evidence, but then i'd have to kill you

posted on 14/8/24

It would mean quite a few people having perjured themselves if City are found guilty of all the charges. Personally I can’t see it as it’s not worthy of it but just got to wait and see when the judgment comes out.
