Wolves have five players in the Premier League worst XI of the weekend

Incredible these days that people can make a living or even supplement an income out of sticking garbage like this online. That dumb line about not being able to pick Bellegarde and many other Wolves players out of a line up is also typical of all these non-mainstream outlets (and Sky tbf) that think football is only about London, Liverpool & Manchester.
U21's kick off their campaign today away at Nottingham Forest. I wonder if Fabio will get a run out.
Wolves value Daniel Podence at around £8.5million this summer amid interest from Saudi Arabia.

"Sarah Winterburn has been Football365 Editor since 2002. She is a Huddersfield Town fan who lives in the far corner of West Yorkshire. She loves writing about Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and England."
A slightly more reliable source of information, the Telegraph's John Percy has written an article saying that Wolves will only spend £20m of the Kilman/Neto money in this window. Even this is slightly disingenuous though because as the club have been at pains to stress, they have already spent around £40m on Doyle, Lima & Gomes, JSL's agreed fee is due at the end of his loan (assuming he doesn't flop). So £60m of the £90m has already or will be reinvested, which given that we posted a £67m loss last year is proabably about right to keep us in line with PSR. Of course if we make any more sales there will be more money to spend.
Small clarification, £20 on Doyle, Lima & Gomes, further £20m due on Larsen next year.
It’s all just a bit inconsistent with earlier messages given out. That we didn’t need to sell to satisfy PSR but would need to sell to buy. We’ve only really spent the Kilman money so far so you’d like to think a hefty chunk of the Neto money should be available. Time will tell
Although we’re not going to get massive fees for the likes of Sarabia and Podence you’d like to think we’d get £15m at least. Loan fees might be all we will get for the others like Fabio, Guedes, Hoever,
Quote from GON
“At this moment the budget doesn’t seem too different to last season when I arrived,” O’Neil said.
“The club is still in a place where it’s not able to go and free spend on things”
Wolves trying to bring in Ramsdale from Arsenal. But the offer they’ve made is a loan and Arsenal would prefer to sell.
Not sure about the Belgian 2nd division as a loan for Nathan Fraser. Can’t believe the standard is very high there although the club are forecast to be promotion contenders. Hope he has a successful season
There's probably some communication management going on between the comments from GON and what's been said to Percy. Clearly the club don't want to give the impression that we have a high ceiling in negotiations and they will also want to temper expectations of us lot.
We have the third highest net transfer income in the world in this window and the 47th highest spend, so the strategy is clear.
Seems the rumours of Sa leaving were always true then and just had to wait for us to figure a replacement.

I think you’re correct that we don’t want clubs to think we will blow £60m in the next 10 days. But I’m not sure how successful they will be in denting supporters expectations given they said we don’t need to sell to meet PSR levels but do need to sell to buy.
To me we had two objectives this summer. Firstly to raise the squad numbers from 19 to at least 23. I think we’ve done that largely by selling Kilman and bringing in Larsen, Rodrigo, Lima, Mosquera and Doyle. Second objective was to replace any first team players we sold. Still think we need to bring in quality replacements for Neto and Kilman if we’re going to move forward from last season
Apparently Wolves have made an offer to sign Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale on a season-long loan deal.
Hoever being linked with a loan to top flight French club Auxerre
Think we can assume that Sa is on his way. If we did sign Ramsdale he wouldn't want to come to be 2nd choice at Wolves rather than 2nd choice at Arsenal.
If Sa is going what does that do for the finances? Money coming in for Sa will be greater than any loan fee for Ramsdale. Salaries might be comparable. So more money to spend?
That all sounds too simple.
Our next opponents, Chelsea, have 42 first team squad members, 22 of whom didn't make their match day squad at the weekend. Can't imagine that makes for a happy dressing room. I suppose, though, that they console themselves by looking at their bank balances.
I mentioned a month ago that Sa was definitely leaving and has already vacated the property he was renting in Tettenhall.
I'll let you know if I hear anything else.

If we get money for Sa then why we don’t buy Ramsdale rather than loan. Problem is Ramsdale will be on a much higher salary than Wolves would pay so a loan enables him to retain his salary, with Wolves paying a proportion and Arsenal the balance
