49ers preparation for the season up there with last year, only thing is this season we need twice as many players.
Incompetent fools.
Individual performances were poor but it was a system issue mainly today. What is our game plan? Pass around the back, get pressured, go long and give it away. Few times we broke the passes were poor. We are so centred to individual brilliance and controlling a game, but take the individual quality out and it’s so limited.
Piroe has to be upfront or nowhere, not hanging around in midfield, he’s not got the pace or passing to play that role. Probably an unpopular opinion but when he has actually played as a 9 (Norwich in playoffs), he’s looked a lot more effective than as a 10. Overall a poor signing.
Ampadu and Gruev offering the double whammy of zero attacking threat but also not always there for the pass from CBs. We need someone who can get forward a bit, which is what Kamara did do, he was able to bring the ball forward.
The more and more I watch Leeds the last few seasons, I just miss Bielsa. I don’t know what the solution is or even think keeping him would have resulted in success but I just want to see some attacking, risky football. Some form of attacking, passing system that isn’t just relying on player quality.
All very negative.
The positive for me is that West Brom under Coberan is always a tricky game for us. I’d take a draw there, because later in the season it’s the sort of game we seem to lose
Positives
* Unbeaten
* Point earned when poor against last seasons playoff semi finalists
* Struijk played well
Thought we looked really poor. Players look and play negatively with some of them having poor body language. Couldn't get any attacks going or any sustained pressure at all. The fans booed 4/5 times when Leeds players went backwards and that's toxicity I've not seen from away Leeds fans that often.
Overall, just look deflated with the confidence and form from last season carrying over into this one, minus 3 of our best players. NEED a big couple of weeks in the transfer window as this lot would do well to get 6th atm.
If only we could play forward as well as we do going backward.

We come across like England under Southgate
Only positives are a point, clean sheet, no injuries.
Looked toothless.
Wind really been knocked out of our sails, especially the fans and owners really need to be speaking at this rather than being silent.
Reminds me of GFH saying nothing and leaving McDermott to carry the can.
Easy to say a couple of signings will solve the problem, but these new faces will have to settle in and the current squad need to get used to them, it's too late to sign anyone I think - it will rock the boat even more.

Quality players hit ground running, like raphinia but we don’t do that, very rare a signing for us delivers straight away.
Think Piroe needs a good kick in the backside, and start delivering, he was selfish today, could have passed that ball to Gnonto(who was raging)..God we miss Georgi.
Unless we bring in a striker, winger and attcking midfielder, it’ll be mid table this season with this bunch.
Clocks ticking, already dropped 4 points after just 2 games.
No positives for me
Think today could have been far worse and i was expecting that to be honest. Badly need a number 10 now. Bogle looks awful.
Question, not just from today but from last season as well, what are people's opinions/thoughts about Ampadu?
Farke needs to have a rethink about his system. Piroe is being completely wasted in that role.
As previously stated, no idea where the creativity is going to come from without Rutter. This is compounded when James & Gnonto fail to turn up.
And seriously why even bother bringing Bamford on? Waste of a substitution.
My word there is some serious work to do at the club in the near future, both on & off the pitch. Absolute joke that we haven't learnt the lessons of last season. Sickening.

Better at centre-half for me.
I missed the whole game as was flying home. Was actually pleased when the result came through as we landed as was honestly fearing the worst.
A good point in the circumstances and a clean sheet away to a decent opponent will do wonders for the confidence.
Phoney9ers need to pull a marquee signing or two out of the bag this week. Chair? Whittaker? Clarke? Nothing to back up these names, just throwing them out there.
It will be the boost that we and the squad need to build on what is unbelievably a better start than last season including a point at the Hawthorns that we didn't get last year.
Trying to be glass half full but over to those with the chequebook to make it a positive week.
Have a good rest of weekend all.

Gruev kills this midfield
It was quite shocking to see the lack of attacking football, and how bereft of ideas they were.
A good point all in all, in a game between to boring teams, unable to create much, if anything at all
Yeah we need a replacement for Gruev James and Piroe. Those playing today were attack killers.
Bogle struggled at first but then improved. Thought defensively we were decent today. Just we never looked like creating a decent chance. Surely there has to be 2 signings by the start of the next game.

Bogle struggled at first but then improved.

He improved when Farke went 3 at the back and
pushed Firpo and Bogle forward as wing backs.

No that's a cop out, I'm asking for an assessment of Ampadu. If I asked you to rate Meslier you wouldn't rate his skills in relation to Darlow surely, you would rate his strengths and weaknesses as a unique human being.

I genuinely think Amps is over rotating due to the
arm band. Huge responsibility. He's a solid player.
Let him figure this out and then we will reap the
benefit. Right now, I think he's trying to do too much.
Club has been gutted. It's understandable.
Caveat - I'm biased. Half Welsh.
