The league is more than just the winner. There are 19 other teams in the league. Competitiveness doesn't just boil down to the league winners, it's the standard across the league. Naturally a club owned by a wealthy country is going to be up there most seasons but after them several teams have been there or there abouts.
Competitiveness is at the lowest it's ever been perhaps, especially for the Prem.

They run an operating profit most years
They obviously, like all big organisations run an operating debt if that's what you mean?
But their operating profit is greater.
Plus all revenue generated gets put straight back into the club...no shareholders to pay out or enormous Exec salaries

I disagree. The strength of the league isn't pointless due to there being quality from top to bottom.
