We deserved the win if Amad, Rashford and Zirkzee didn’t screw our golden chances up. Just common sense and we win by 3 or 4.
Rashford is an expensive waste of a squad position. Cannot stand the lad.

Eth out
----------------------------------------------------------------------
100% on the players today. We’ve been outhustled and outfought. They’ve worked harder and their players have made better decisions all game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's been the case for years though hasn't it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It wasn’t last week, or the week before.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Last week we weren't that good plus it was Fulham.
They walked through our middle multiple times because it was so easy for them.
Not sure what game you're referring to before last weeks?
Personally I can't see us improving. Our midfield is still ch!t, we have a right back at left back. Rashford is still fking chit and the manager is still making weird subs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Players need to improve. Zirkzee should probably be starting. And if he wants to play de ligt he should just play him.

Disappointing, we were unlucky not to have a point.
I don't blame ETH it was on the players, with one exception, I would have Mount on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't either but it's all about results. Eth has to deliver this season, no ifs, no buts. Ultimately the success or failure is down to him. Backed him to the hilt last season.
Brighton were completely outplayed in general play but our ball watching centrebacks gifted them two goals. The 2 goals we conceded didn’t even come from pressure by them, just two simple crosses and finishes after defended most of the time earier which makes it worse.
These attackers cost us easy wins.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Garnacho should’ve scored the winner.
De ligt has been decent
----------------------------------------------------------------------
MctT ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bringing McT on was a disaster, as we immediately lost the midfield battle.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Brighton were already on top, Bruno was cะณะฐั and gassed (him and Mount put in a massive shift in the first half).
We might have benefitted more from bringing on Eriksen for Bruno as his passing and sense of control might have helped a bit more.
I don’t see reasons to be gloomy after this game. We were insanely unlucky not to be ahead and lots of aspects of our play look better than last season already.

Players looked unfit, lazy, unambitious.
We moved it quickly twice and scored both times.
It’s not rocket science.
I think we have dumb footballers, they’re always offside, not intelligent players.

Not to be that person but it's not about the results, not 2 games in. Play well and show marked improvements from last year.
Just checked the XG shots and Brighton that had 2 good chances and scored and one half a good chance and hit the woodwork with that. Just shows you how clinical they were. We wasted like 12 good chances this season already since the community shield.

Yes, as long as we don't abandon what we are trying to achieve, that's effectively what he did to keep his job last season. But if the results don't materialise after 10-15 games the pressure will mount on him. This season is not a freebie for him, it's a season to impress and convince Sir Jim they have made the right decision to retain him.
We shall see.

The set up was right, and we should have been in the lead at HT.
The Mount sub and change in set up was weird, but strangely worked for a while once we’d settled in.
The problem today was simply too many players putting in poor performances: Mainoo, Bruno, Rashford, Amad we’re all way below par, and Garnacho and Zirkzee hardly pulled up trees when they came on.
We need to see more energy, more focus, and more ruthlessness around the opposition area.

Yes, there is an improvement, but this is a very competitive league, one mistake by a player or by the manager could cost you the game. If ETH wants to keep his job, he should stop seeing players as two categories: droppable, no matter how well they play, and undroppable, no matter how poor they are.

No point watching Man Utd these days. They somehow don’t win games they are so much on top of opposition. Brighton manager was hoping they hanged in for a point.
I find it funny that they have to hold massive microphones in this day and age. They look ridiculous.

Brighton started the 2nd half strong and after we scored it was nearly all Man Utd. There goal came from against the run of play.
That is why we had more possession both halves as well.
