And then came back… then we look at all the contracts offered to over 30 players during FSG’s tenure… occams razor and all that.
It’s up to you TOOR, if you think FSG like to offer over 30 year old players contracts that’s your choice. There’s little to nothing to support that though.
Do you have any quotes?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
FSG don't offer contracts to players. They pay people to do that but I don't think it, I know it as it literally happened and what literally hasn't happened is an over 30 player who is still good enough not being offered a new contract.
Nothing to support that
Wow. You've turned into Gash, all whining and negativity encompassed.
I’m not whining about anything, we’ve spoken before about telling the truth, are you turning into Mamba?
I’m just reiterating a business model which has been mooted since FSG took us over. I mean it’s staring you in the face both in the players that leave and the players we sign.
Do you have any quotes or not?

Quotes for what? To prove we offer players over 30 contracts? What would I need a quote for. We literally gave new contracts to players over 30 and offered a new contract to Wijnaldum. We literally haven't not offered a new contract to an over 30 player who is in the first team.
Again, Henderson, VVD, Salah, Milner, offered to Winjnaldum.
I'll do one of you lists for you below. Below is a list of first team players over 30 who we haven't offered a new contract to:-
Now do a list for extensions offered when Edwards was at the club, because that’s what we’re discussing.
It’s okay if you can’t, but maybe wind it in a bit.
I notice your list is missing Firmino btw.

Yeah all of above mentioned?
But that’s wrong. VVD wasn’t, neither was Salah, neither was Firmino, neither was Matip, neither was Milner.

Yes I only included first team players. Firmino stated he left as there was a difference of opinion on what he could offer, ie he wasn't starting any more. From what Firmino has said, it was his decision to leave not that Liverpool didn't offer him a new deal.
I only wanted to include facts since as stated above I don't deal in Twatter conspiracies.
Liverpool didn’t offer a new deal. VVD was not over 30 when he signed his extension. Edwards wasn’t at the club when Salah extended, same with Milner.
Your list is wrong I’m afraid.

Edwards left in 2022? All of above signed on or before 2022? You've included two players, both no longer first team players, one I'd guess was not offered a new contract as he could no longer keep fit due to age and injuries catching up with him. One who stated himself that he decided to leave and told Klopp himself after disagreeing on his role at the club.
Why don't you stick Thiago in there?

Can you explain the difference between a four year contract at 29 and a three year contract at 30, in the context of not over over 30s new deal(despite offering over 30s new deals)?
Yes but Salah and VVD were not over 30.
Could you redo your list of players over 30 offered extensions, because that’s what we’re talking about.
Like I said, it’s fine if you can’t, but maybe wind it in a bit.
Right OK let's instead assume you're correct and Edwards was not at the club when over 30s were offered new deals. So what was common knowledge again? Edwards left the club as they were offering new deals to over 30s but he wasn't at the club when they offered new deals to over 30s?
Strange take.

Worth noting that Edwards left in May 2022.
Both Salah and Milner signed afterwards.

June 30th was his official leaving date. You might want to check Milners previous new contract to the 2022 one. He left Liverpool last year at 37 for what it's worth.
So your list is actually;
James Milner.

No, you said it was common knowledge Edwards left because the club offered new contracts to over 30s(despite him being the one in charge of contracts). Then you said no over 30s were offered new contracts when Edwards was at the club.
Now you're going with Milner only as Salah and VVD were 29 given long term contracts, Wijnaldum refused his new contract and I don't know what happened to Henderson, think you just blanked him or decided Edwards had already stormed out over nobody over 30 being offered new deals, sorry I mean people over 30 being offered new deals.
It's really difficult to keep up here.
I said there is little to nothing to support it actually.
You then listed five players, four of which were wrong, and also missed off Firmino and Matip.
Your list is actually a one year extension for James Milner.
You’re having a bit of a mare here if we’re honest.

Ok let's say I've had a mare and there's only one player.
Now let's look at your two views below.
Edwards left because over 30s were offered new contracts.
Only Milner was over 30 when offered a new contract.
Conclusion: Edwards left because Milner was offered a new contract.
Am I following your views correctly?
Nope. You’re digressing to reinforce a weak point.
It’s a simple list of one. You either accept that or you don’t, it’s up to you.

Nope. I'm just showing you how ridiculous it is to both hold the view that 29 year olds offered long term deals don't count and also Edwards left because of offering over 30s new contracts when there was only Milner.
You can only hold one of these views. I'd suggest your original view was Edwards left as we offered new deals to over 30s, which 29 year olds count within, since they were offered long term deals.
I'd find it strange that your view would be Edwards left because we offered Milner a new deal.
But again, you can't have it both ways, which is it?
Look TOOR, I said there is little to nothing to support it, because there isn’t.
You’ve then posted a load of stuff that is factually incorrect and ended with James Milner being offered a one year extension as the ONLY example. Possibly Wij at a push.
Rather than trying to weasel out if it by trying to move the goal posts and start talking about players being 29, I feel it would be better for you to show a little humility instead and just admit that yes, there’s little to nothing to support the view that no, as a rule, we don’t like to offer players over 30 new contracts.
