Is the Sancho deal still on?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I hope so but it's very late In the day to get all that ironed out
----------------------------------------------------------------------
ETH wasn't to pushed when asked in his presser
He seemed ok about Sancho not moving on
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Probably better for negotiations though.

🚨 EXCL: Chelsea on verge of agreement with Manchester United to sign Jadon Sancho. Deal for 24yo #MUFC winger season-long loan with obligation to buy next summer. Personal terms in place as all parties work to complete #DeadlineDay transfer

This is probably the first time since Fergie where we’ve settled all of our major signings way before the deadline. Feels so good to say that.

Chelsea better be paying this guys wages in full
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When you have that many players on the books, no-one will notice slipping an extra one on the wage list
I think the obligation to buy depends on meeting certain thresholds.............prob like playing a minimum 100 games before the end of the season and scoring 30 goals..........

Ugarte a full two hours before!
Hope we've got 30m for him.
I wonder if we'll look at Rabiot in the next week or so? I still think we look quite thin in midfield really.

Think someone here mentioned he was a free agent?
Surely Sancho’s wages go against Chelsea’s wage structure? They reported offered Oshimen a fraction of what he currently earns at Napoli.
I hope the obligation to buy isn’t based on having to play a number of games that he will struggle to meet.

That’s how it was worded earlier on Sky
1st offer was loan with option to buy
2nd offer was loan with obligation to buy based on certain thresholds being met
Don't see sancho suddenly turning into the superstar and model professional we thaught we were getting
Tbf he only has to be better than Mudryk who’s sh-t.
We couldn't confirm Ugarte without selling Mctominay due to PSR but Chelsea have spent about 500m more than us in last two years, they have a much smaller stadium and they are in the conference league too.
The financial rules aren't working. Chelsea can't be in line with them. It's just not possible.
They have so many option in wide positions - obv would be glad if they took Sancho, but it does seem a strange transfer from their point of view. I mean I wouldn't want either, but would prefer Sterling over Sancho as an example
They pulled out of selling the lad to their other club Strasbourg, I’m guessing they realised it was obvious to anyone what they were playing at.

🔴 Jadon Sancho to Chelsea on loan with obligation very close. Future fee, I believe, is between £20m and £25m. Big saving on wages for United - and gets a problem (for them) out of the door.

I think the loophole with the long contracts they are giving out helps with that, but aren't the rules changing to stop that for next season? But even they must see it's crazy to have so many on their books

Basically they've no idea as per usual.
Whether it's £20m or £35m.....it's a massive wage off our total which is a huge plus. He was earning £13m a year with us.
Good riddance. Never liked him. Overrated and slow.
