The more we look at the window the more we have to consider are we as a club a problem?

The majority of the players we let go are ridiculously cheap way below market value. Nobody does us any "favours". The PSR diabacle.

Sterling has gone to Arsenal supposedly with some wages paid, for free just to get him gone.

Bring back Paul Barber to this football club, he would re-structure us, give us a proper identity and allow us to penny pinch and scout the Brighton way.

yeah we clearly don't sign enough young players, go and get Paul Barber in to sort that out

Linked with the likes of Neto, Eze, Gomes, Toney etc, ended up with Solanke and a load of teenagers.

Vintage Levy.

Ange is happy with the squad.

So I fully expect us to challenge for the things Ange said we would.

Re-read every comments on here, and I share the sad feeling that our best hope this season is 5th/6th in the league

How we have gone backward since Poch left. Levy in his infantile childish like wisdom thought we have bron through to the next level of clubs season after CL final. and sacked Poch bringing the "serial" winner Jose Mourinho.

And then Levy still in his infantile wisdom believed that Jose could win trophies on a Levy budget

SInce then this is the only manager since 2019 to have a second season for Spurs...What a mess!

The chairman is acting like the enemy within!

Credit for the stadium/training facilties and club financial management, but he has been a massive failure in delivering trophies to fans

I will back the team and really hoping that Ange will give us a season to enjoy despite it all.

We may not be as good as we were during the peak Poch period but we've gone forwards since the end of that era. Recruitment has improved, more money has been spent, more punctual signings and not things left right to the last minute, and finally a lot of the deadwood moved on.

For all the things we can blame Levy for for why this club has not won anything in his entire ownership, he has at least tried more than usual these last few seasons. Whether it will last or not is another matter.

Wr all know Levy fecked up sacking Poch and the appointments since. We know that. He had too much football input and messed it up. We know that. But move on. This is a different era, regime and, largely, a different group of players.

NOW is different. These are not his decisions other than the manager, ultimately, and even that will have been a decision taken on advice.

You are all making negative predictions...blaming Levy for them, even though it hasn't happened and not giving anything or anyone a chance. You will jump on ANY dropped points this season while also claiming to Back the team.

Stop looking backwards. Look forwards. let this team develop without picking at every single slip up. It's pathetic and isn't supporting a club, it's just being a critic.

What a total load of utter garbage. You can support a team and be critical of the choices it makes.

Look forwards not backwards. Ffs, it’s been 24 years. All of us have looked forward over that time, but at some point you have to learn from the mistakes you have made in the past. Levy has never done that.

YOU are the negative one. Coming on here constantly spurting how hard it is to win trophies and how it’s not about silverware and how spurs fans are too entitled when the say otherwise

This club should be in the mix. Arsenal are once again going for the title. No reason spurs shouldn’t be either. That’s positive.

I choose to expect my great club to put the football first and go for the titles. I want them to feel that pressure. For too long spurs players have felt no need to win things. Ex players and managers have constantly told us the expectation at spurs is to win nothing. That comes from the top and fans that say it’s not about silverware.

I want my great club getting back to winning things. Enic have overseen project after project, each one ending in football failure.

The only thing that’s got bigger is the prices.

At some point this club has to wake up and remember it’s not just about hotels and profits, it’s about football and glory.

Levy likes younger players because they are lower risk, he can pay them less and their values have the potential to increase significantly, make no mistake this is all about money.

Levy sees buying ready made players in their late 20`s or early 30`s as high risk.

Every decision Levy makes is a business one.

This summer was all about clearing the decks for outside investment.

Our wage bill is now below i think Brighton!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The outgoings was excellent…..couldn’t have asked for more

There was so much to do all in one window

The test will be now that’s done will we actually buy proven quality in January and next summer …..if we don’t then Enic and levy really will show there (zero) ambition

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think if there was a decent option out thereas a LCB or LB backup option we would have gone for it.

Surprised we didn't get a loan in and would be very surprised if we didn't get someone in in January. We can cope with Dragusin Spwnce and Davies providing cover, it's not like we have no one, but it's not ideal.

I've always felt we needed another Jan and Summer window to be exactly where we want to be and I stick with that. But in the mean time I think we have the quality to be competitive top 5 and give the cups a really good go.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hang on, didn’t you just tell everyone else to stop moaning and get behind the team? Hypocrisy much?

Dev is missing the point here. Those young lads might end up being real diamonds, but the fact we’ve signed so many young players means the focus isn’t on the talent they offer, it’s the price they’ve come in for. Bergvall and Yang in particular for a combined fee of just over 10m.. Even Gray and Odobert at 40 and 30m are considered conservative sums these days. The gamble is never on the big player for the inflated fee, it’s on the promising player for a lower fee.

I actually think we overpaid for Solanke and that’s a stance confirmed by Carra and Scholes too. Whether we get them right or wrong, it would be nice, given we’re in a rebuilding phrase, to sign some ready made first teamers. Our recruitment model matches the kind of behaviour you’d expect from a club looking to fine tune, when in reality major surgery is what’s required.

Just go big, just for one feckin window. Do an Arsenal or a Chelsea. Just feckin once. Show us you want to win. God knows we pay enough for ticket prices. Do you really think the club outlay on players matches the prices they charge? Does it feck? It’s daylight feckin robbery.

Best stadium in the league, probably Europe, all that extra revenue and the wage bill is below Brighton. Wow.

Yeah, but January - and when that comes “it’s a difficult window”
Yeah, but next summer - and next summer we will buy 6 players: 1 good, a couple of kids and a couple of meh. That’s what we do every summer.

Odobert may be a worthwhile purchase.
Bergval as I said before is really inexperienced and fully deserved the rollicking Vicario gave him.

Levy has been a cheapskate as usual.
Never tries for top class players like Dani Olmo.
So Aussieglue has got to work miracles.
We'll see how our season will go in the next two matches.
