Most of the outgoings are also booked as 100% profit because they are academy products.
Overall good, but I'd have liked Ivan Toney at the price Brentford let him go and maybe have sold Eriksen and brought in a younger lesser known prospect to replace him.
Let's see how they do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We already have 2 strikers. Why would we need another one?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
when we were good we had 4
How good the window was will obviously depend on how everyone settles in and how the season develops, but the way we went about out business, well that's how it should be all the time really. I guess it highlights what a shambles it has been in recent years, in terms of identifying suitable players, negotiating good fees and just getting our business done in a logical way.
It's been good to clear out a good number of players also, and hopefully by the end of the season, we will have cleared out the rest.
The club is starting to look like it is being run in a competent manner
exactly. It will only be a good window if they all come as good as expected

From a footballing perspective only, we should lose a mark or two for selling Greenwood
Another two goals in the first 17 minutes tonight.
Is that 5 in 2.5 games? What a shame he was such a cvnt

It's obviously a great start, but he's doing it in France in an easier league - doesn't mean he would automatically be doing that in one of the top leagues. Of course it would have been great if he stayed and we could see how this season turned out for him in a Utd shirt, but that was never going to happen.

Letting Greenwood leave for peanuts makes the window a one out of five.
3 goals and an assist in his first two matches.
£100m asset given away for nothing.

Many will see this as a wind up, but I have to agree.
He was our academy player so we should rehabilitate him, if anyone is going to.

3 strikers is overkill when you play with 1 at most.
Giving that Mason Greenwood is tearing Ligue 1 to pieces (another 2 goals tonight and leading the league with 5 goals in 3 games), and we’re desperate for a goal scorer, I’m going to rate our transfer window 4/10, based on what we’ve seen so far.

Greenwood was never going to play for United again after the audio went public. So getting some money for him with a decent sell on clause was a huge plus this window

I get that. But losing a player of that calibre in a position we’re in dire need of quality, and not replacing him with a player of equal quality/potential, is why I’m assessing our window poorly. I can’t judge Ugarte (legit never seen him play) but I’m not blown away by what I’ve seen from any of the others yet.
You have to be a bit daft to think that Greenwood still had a glorious future with United after the accusations went viral. Despite how good he is.
But still, good luck to him elsewhere.

Soothing.

Most of the outgoings are also booked as 100% profit because they are academy products.
Overall good, but I'd have liked Ivan Toney at the price Brentford let him go and maybe have sold Eriksen and brought in a younger lesser known prospect to replace him.
Let's see how they do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We already have 2 strikers. Why would we need another one?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
when we were good we had 4
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This isn’t the 90s though. Name one big club with 3 out and out strikers today.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
SNeither Yorke or Sheringham were out and out dtrikers
----------------------------------------------------------------------
RDD was 52 all the time!!!

Got me

Different time, when we played 4-4-2, and we had a great midfield to be able to do that, we were the best team in the land, so cope afford to rotate the 4 strikers etc.
We aren't anywhere near that now, and at best would play with one recognised striker. I would have liked to have seen Toney here, just to see what he could do, and I felt the price was reasonable but we'll just have to play what if with that one and see what Zirkzee can do
----------------------------------------------------------------------
fact is we had 3 or 4 options in most positions when we were good last. Regardless of the timeline or the way Fergie set up. Im sure its someting that INEOS will be working on over the next few windows
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Very few teams other than Chelsea have 3 senior players in any position.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
what is your point Process.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
3 strikers is overkill when you play with 1 at most.
