Good.

Well this is just boooollocks.

Hopefully that's the Man City case thrown out too. We need to get rid of these stupid rules aimed at stifling PL clubs' success.

Just saw that, don't know any of the finer points or rulings but was surprised, fair play if they were right though?

Just read some more about it, the Premier League are NOT happy about it

Good news for us. If we spend a trillion this season and deliberately get relegated, then we can come back up with our trillion pound team and we can't be punished. Thanks for the template Leicester

Might be Chelseas plan

They need to appeal the appeal. And if they lose the appeal to the appeal then they need to appeal the denied appeal to the appeal.

I don’t think the PL will find that very appealing.

I'll keep my eyes a peeled for further developments.

If Leicester can find loopholes, it should be a walk in the park for City to avoid their punishment. Ominous.

They’re not really the same, although they may have way some precedent for some of the charges related to Mancini.

The PL only have themselves to blame with this one though.

Leicester decision basically came down to the club having their year end as 30 June - that meant they were no longer a Premier League club, so the appeal board ruled they were outside the Premier League's jurisdiction by then.

Essentially fell into a limbo between two divisions.

If that’s true then it’s a joke, just because they slipped down the leagues they’re avoiding punishment?

It'd be quite funny if the Football League now decide they have a case against Leicester and they retrospectively deducted points from their Championship campaign last season which means they didn't get promoted.

*Before anyone says anything I know it won't happen!

That's what I said. Let's spend over a trillion on 11 Antonys, get relegated this season and then win the quintuple in two seasons.

Well they were no longer a premier league club at that point. What the PL should have done is have in their rules that the shares aren’t transferred until after the accounting year end date.

I expect any appeals to be upheld after the preferential treatment United got over PSR.

Indeed, bad drafting by their lawyers. Who will already have been paid for the job. Too bad.

It’s a ridiculous oversight by the PL.

Yeah that’s an absolute fack up from them, doesn’t make me confident they’ll nail City for the whole 115 charges either.

It’s completely seperate, aside from they might have set precedent for the Mancini charges like I said earlier.

I don’t think City will be arguing about construction of the rules for the main charges though.

Embarrassing from the PL. If Leicester can humiliate them like this then you wonder what City’s lawyers are going to do to them

The PSR rules “are, in relevant parts, far from well drafted” according to independent panel that allowed #LCFC appeal. Pretty damning that. Leicester off on a technicality. Clubs’ lawyers are going to be going through PSR looking for more loopholes.

Chelsea must be knocking one out at this news tonight, Everton probably kicking themselves they didn’t challenge the PL more too.

Reading the OP’s link I believe you’ll find that the PL were surprised and disappointed by the verdict which would indicated they’re “NOT happy about it”!

That aside City must be well chuffed with the verdict.

Haven’t clubs been finding loopholes around PSR for the past couple seasons. Seems like the PL dont really know what they’re doing.
