Just had a look, 3 goals and 3 assists in 21 games.
Nothing to write home about.
I also watched the CL match where they done a whole segment on him after and seemed like they were lowing it out of proportion. It was no more than a good/decent performance.
Maybe something will click at chelsea but im not holding my breathe. For me he, like hudson odoi, doesn't excel at any one thing. Nowadays a winger needs to be excellent at something. Whether its cutting in and shooting (Eze, Robben and others), really skillful (pick anyone, hazard etc) or have blistering pace (We have Doku, Neto, Vinicius).
Sancho may have positive attributes in some but doesn't excel at anything.
I'd say Sancho excels at reading space and picking passes, and, thanks to quick feet, he's a very good ball carrier in terms of being hard to dispossess in congested spaces. He can be a productive playmaker around the box if surrounded by pace and intelligent movement. He'll be ineffective if you're relying on him to generate goals and assists by dribbling past players rather than as a cog in a system. And that distinction is magnified in a faster paced league like the PL compared with Germany.
Seen little to convince me he's worth anything...time will tell
One thing is for sure he's got to be better than Anthony
He has very good feet and control. I had high hopes for him.
But I always back the manager in these situations, I'm sure ETH preferred him to be good for us, so he would only fall out with him for a reason.

He is. I think this is what led to part of his tiff with ETH. I would not want to be sitting on the bench while Antony is playing ahead of me.

If he had put in those performances for United the mancs wouldn't never shut up about it. For some reason he can't replicate that at United, and neither can most of the big signings they make who come with good reputations but flop at United. Sancho and Rashford get an unfair amount of stick IMO

He’s shiiiiit, so no.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Rarely played well for us. Too soft and slow for the PL. I’d be surprised if he’s a success at Chelsea but even if he is I still think we were right to get rid.
Does he need to meet any targets to trigger the obligation? Like turning up to training on time?

No but Chelsea need to finish 14th or higher so he may be back yet.
In all seriousness, has there been any reliable reports about what the terms of the obligation are?

I’m being genuine. I do think that’s the only term
The 14th place thing came from Fabrizio if I remember correctly, so fairly reliable.
Can't remember the source, but there was also another reliable source saying Chelsea will pay us more the higher they finish this season.

Just out of interest, have you guys been surprised that Sancho has flopped so badly at United?

I'm no longer surprised at anyone flopping at United.

Priapus himself would flop at United.
Lad with who obviously needs a lot on input to make it at the top with a manager who cannot handle players, never going to work.
Better off without him.
I do worry about the quality we have out wide. Garnacho and Amad are promising but will not deliver regularly enough. Rashford needs to find consistent form soon, and Antony needs to be shipped out for someone more 'proven'.

Yeah, unless one of them blows up this season, or Rashford decides to find form, it really isn't good enough and is going to cost us this season. Really wish we managed to get Olise.
The Liverpool game was telling, I thought. If you swapped our front 3 for theirs I honestly reckon it might have completely reversed the scoreline.

I’m gutted we didn’t get Olise. It’s not just because of the impact he could have on our attack in terms of output, he’s just a fun player to watch.
He's gonna be a massive improvement on Mudryk who can barely control a football.

I believe you've been burned by this very statement before, Darren!
(Though I think this statement will certainly age better for Olise than it has for Antony!)
Yeah I was thinking about making this very point, but then wanted to hide my shame.
