Have you watched Troppo from your neck of the woods? I thought it was very good.

Salvation ... the one that Sam Worthington didnt realise his whole body was made out of metal, had super human strength, didnt get tired etc.... hmmmm that one plot hole was enough for me to dislike it.

I had it on Blu Ray was one of the first films I got on Blu Ray.

I thought we were gonna get much more of the actual war between the two not the tail end of it. We have still been denied the part of the storyline we are all desperate to see. The actual film of the war that is taking place during Reese's flashbacks why do the continually dance round the actual film 90% of fans want to see !

Can't stand anime personally. Doesn't do anything for me.

I have seen that the new middle earth film, the war of the Rohirrim, has been done in anime too. 🫣
As a massive Tolkien fan this greatly disturbs me.

Hopefully Andy Serkis will save the day though with the Hunt for Gollum in 2026. Full theatrical product with Ian McKellen, Orlando Bloom and Viggo Mortensen all set to return.

I watched it last week....really good show.

The second season of Rings of Power has been excellent so far. Much better than I expected it to be.

The new season of Slow Horses has also just started. Anyone who likes Gary Oldman will love this.

I agree. It's getting better and now there's talks of it being cancelled due to low viewer figures. 😭

Even the first season wasn't terrible. I have seen far worse shows come back for season after season.

Be gutted if it does get cancelled.

I thinks LOTR is OK, but I believe it's the most expensive TV show ever made in terms of cost per episode, and it really isn't living up to that at all. Wouldn't be surprised one bit if they cancelled it, I can't see them bringing in the viewing figures to justify cost. It was my interest on LOTR in general that has kept me watching, rather than the quality of the show itself.

HoD - I reckon people who binge watch in the future will have no problem with season 2. It was just a anti-climactic and frankly lazy way to finish off the season, especially when the next one is probably 2 years away.

Slightly on the topic of the OP (I.e. Japanese shows) - would recommend Tokyo Vice to anyone. Finished it recently, very good.

Can you still buy stuff on Blue ray...i'm told it's quality but a bit like Betamax

I'm not a LOTR fan or anything but I'm really enjoying the TV show.
I've watched the movies once, when they came out. Can barely remember them.
The show is making me want to watch the movies again, and play the shadow of Mordor games, so it must be doing something right.

HOTD - season 2 was one of the most boring pieces of television I've ever watched. It was a struggle to finish each episode without falling asleep.

I couldn’t get into HOTD either. But then it took me until midway through the second season to get into GOT.
