Why are we persisting with such a long tail. Curran at 6 ffs
Giving too many away here...we ain't chasing this
No fackin way are we chasing 193
I'll call it now.... We will be 50 for 5
When Livingstone comes off he is a lot of fun to watch. Shame it doesn't happen anywhere near often enough.

Not sure how Bethell got in either, Mousley is a better bowler and batter if they wanted to go for a young Warks all rounder but the team was full of bits and pieces players.

Still stand by this but a decent flurry here
Sheriff doing his failed Nostradamus impression
Yeah a little surprised we've got ourselves in the position we are - although we are leaching wickets suddenly now... Still should win this from here
I mean honestly we would have to be complete idiots to lose this from here
6 from 10
Should be a doddle
That will do us...go and cry somewhere Aussies
Great win.
Livingstone is an elite T20 player. Just needs to find the consistency in T20Is
I stuck a tenner on the Aussies at 12/1 when England needed a 31 off 31. Almost ballsed it up but just scraped over the line to lose me that £10 rather than win £120
It feels strange that T20 finals day happened during the T20i series with Australia. It meant the likes of Jamie Overton and Sam Curran who are quite big parts of Surrey's t20 side couldn't play.
Kind of like having the FA cup final in the middle of some international friendlies and say for example last season Foden and Mainoo missing the FA cup final.
I know cricket works like that anyway with your internationals missing the season but for the biggest day in the county calendar to not have some if its stars playing doesn't feel right especially when there is a huge talent pool to pick from.

Too much cricket being played, scheduling is at crisis point. T20 of 100, not both. Dump the domestic 50 over cup

Whilst we have international 50 over cricket and tournaments, I don't agree with dumping it, even though it is played by youngsters and older players who are generally longer format specialists. They just need the hundred and the blast to be one specialist franchise competition. The counties don't want that though because it's an 8 team competition.
So why don't we have a 9 franchise competition made up of the 18 counties. Each franchise has 2 counties plus a few overseas. Each team plays 8 times, 4 "home" 4 away, so each county hosts 2 matches. Then you can make the 50 over comp more appealing by each county having their best players.
The above might explain why we are bad at 50 over cricket now because none of the England players actually play it anymore. Although it might be that most countries don't really play it anymore. In which case, the whole format may as well be scrapped.
Just get rid of the one hundred and problem solved.
The Hundred is the premier competition in this country now whether we like it not, in terms of it's scheduling and marketing anyway.
Ok start for England so far today...
ODIs kicking off today, England only have 3 seamers but Archer is in so hopefully he can get through bowling 10 overs. Brook captaining the side with Duckett opening.
