Onana played well but I thought de Ligt was superb and so was Zirkzee.
Very good cameo from Ugarte, simply didn't put a foot or pass wrong. He's going to be immense for us. He'll do all the ugly things well but proof will be in the pudding in matches where we dominate possession, it will what he can do with quality passes.

You don't watch us. so your opinion is void.
Onana made a good save early on and saved a penalty but literally had nothing to do for the last hour.
Not sure he was MOTM. De Ligt & Amad were very good. Amad 1st half especially.

Your fellow United fans wanted him dropped after the last game.
52... Southampton's caused United problems for half an hour but their effort and spirit died with the penalty miss and United were quick to capitalise. After that it was all very comfortable for United. As it should be against a team that will probably get relegated. Downside is potential injuries to both Martinez and Mazraoui who were replaced. The injury 'voodoo' continues.
Zirkzee looking like a good buy. Onana had a decent game but doesn’t inspire any real confidence.
BBC gave Onana man of the match. fair ?

Jesus. Typical BBC b*llocks.
Angry Terminator having a look around for an argument on the forum after a rough day.
Bless him.

Zirkzee has a lot more to come I feel. A fack up is never far away from onana. He can have good games but you know it will come.
OP
Lots to be positive about with the new signings, but hard to see past the fact that it was against a Championship outfit.

He's watched Utd throughout his life home and away, into his twilight years, enjoying other aspects of life, he can be forgiven for missing the odd game! 👍
Im sure 52 is capable of standing his own ground with this nob jockey
Not like mu52 to go over the top with his comments.
"Settled in and very good keeper"
Come on now. He had fack all to do for an hour. Saved a penalty, granted he dived the right way but the penalty was awful.
Made a couple other saves you'd expect a 50 million pound keeper to make. Nothing glorious.
Ugarte, difficult to have any sort of impression seeing as Southampton didn't do anything the entire time he was on the pitch.
Let's wait until we have a more close match.

Manuel Ugarte won every tackle and completed every pass that he attempted on his Manchester United debut. That's all he could do in the short time he was on the pitch, nothing about the encounter having to be close per se, we need to see him over 90 minutes but as debuts go it was encouraging. The periods preceding the "pen" where our midfield was being over run is precisely when we could have done with him. His temperament, aggression and willingness to recover possession very quickly to allow those better on the ball to cause damage is what I am looking forward to the most.
Onana, De Ligt, Amad, Mazraoui, JZ and Marcus were very good. The "pen", which was not a pen, was pivotal as a miss revitalised us into life. We took command soon after. Just wish we did not ease up, when we had the numerical advantage we should have pressed on for more goals, Southampton were there for the thrashing.
