I don't like the look of a Casemiro and Mainoo midfield tbh. They're both absolutely cack as a 2 and my nan could get through that.
Think that's my misunderstanding of 3-4-3 though and how the other players help out in the middle, hopefully.

Ye it's crazy in 2024 we still can't watch games and so many united games aren't on TV anymore, probably cos we chit!
That's why loads of people move to IPTV and streams.

I think Casemiro's been pretty good of late, although I wonder how much of that is down to having Ugarte in there with him – those two seem to work together well

Would prefer him further forward as his attacking threat is underrated. Anywhere on the field where he doesn't need to run and track back.

Our inability to retain possession and frequent mistakes in dangerous areas continue to be major issues. Would be happy with a scrappy win.

I think in general we've shown more care in possession under Amorim and much more desire to build short from the back.

Against Bodo Manchester United's 3-2 victory was the first time on record that they completed 700+ passes (723), had 70%+ possession (72.4%), registered 20+ shots (20) and had 40+ touches in the opposition box (47) in a major European match (since 03/04).

One of my favourite quotes I've heard from Amorim is how everything Is connected in and out of possession. If you can retain the ball for sustained periods it enables you to play higher, makes you more compact and gives you less work to do defensively but when you have to defend you're in good shape to do so.

Not that that isn't obvious but we just didn't do that at all under Ten Hag and he paid big for it.

What I’m hoping it does, that it strengthens our bench/options. Gives him a good headache who to pick everyweek. Cos at some point he’s got to rest on a spine of the team at least.
