I’m waiting for Mazza to break down and get ruled out for 6 months, he’s got the worst injury history of all our signings.

Can't wait for Hojlund and JZ to link up.

Both back in training.

Lindelof is also still injured, no idea what’s wrong with him

Forgot about him which probably tells you enough. Think ETH said he’s almost ready. Can’t see him playing much unless there is a crisis which is always around the corner.

Yoro is also still out of course.

Good to see them both back. Not overly fussed with mount but great hoj is back

posted 1 day, 4 hours ago

We’ll need them both as our schedule’s going to be quite hectic.

When, if. Mount can stay fit for more than two matches, I think there will e a reappraisal of his potential.

“Mount back in training”

Shall have a bet on how many times we hear that this season?

Keep totally forgetting about Mount

We're bound to get injuries. Every club gets them. I think what's key for us is that we don't get players from the same position injured at once.

Managing injuries is also down to Ten Hag to an extent. He must rotate more in my opinion even if it's in game. There have been signs he may be more open to that this season though.

I'd quite like to see a weekene team develop as well as a midweek team so that players are guaranteed some minutes each week and, if they do well in the cups, they get the opportunity to have an impact on a weekend. I am thinking players like Antony in this. I know he divides opinion (to say the least) but some of our better performances have come when he's played. Individually I don't think he's brilliant but he does add some balance I believe. Even last night if you watch the highlights he was involved in quite a few of the goals. He may never be a world beater but if he can do a job when called upon that'll do for now.

You hope there will. He isn’t as good as you think he is.

I think we’re the only 2 on the board that think Antony can be at least useful.

Agreed. I don’t think Zirkzee is a number 10. He’s a 9 who drops deep at times.

He's not a CF though, he's not a proper 10 either, he calls himself 9.5. It will be interesting to see Hojlund and JC in the same team. JC has too much potential to be playing second fiddle.

It was nice to see Bayindir actually get a game. A lot of top teams use their second GK for the cups and I agree that rotation and actually utilising more of the squad on a consistent basis can only be a good thing.

Process - for some reason I have a soft spot for Antony. The fee isn't his fault and he at least tries. I also think his ball retention is underappreciated as generally he does keep it. It's when he tries to be a winger he isn't he loses it! I still think that in a cohesive team he be a good cog.

Berba - yes some rotation is good IMO and it keeps everyone on their toes too. It must be quite demoralising training all week knowing you won't be involved at all. Doesn't matter how professional you are that's not going to be good for you.
