Result hides one of the worst performances I’ve seen from Spurs for a long, long time. Absolutely disgraceful!

That said, don’t scream at Ange. I’ve had enough of blaming the manager. What’s become very clear is that our second string is an absolute joke. This is about players and their lack of quality. There’s only one man to blame and that’s Levy. Sacking managers is nothing more than a pointless distraction.

We are not gonna win a pot to pizz in for a very long time. Guaranteed. I think we’ve regressed further than a did when we first started qualifying for the Europa League under Jol. It’s that bad and it’s all feckin Levy’s fault.

I don’t think I’ve ever been so furious after a win.

Still think werner was a good signing?

Lady Luck strikes big time but that's football and it wouldn't surprise me if that's a big turning point for Big Ange and Spurs go on now to win the League cup.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Based upon all the opinions around...THAT is very unlikely.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well you never know it probably does seem unlikely atm and if you'd lost as it seemed you were going to then yes I think he was heading for the chop with the majority of Spurs fans reaching the end of their tether with him but a lucky win like tonight may be a catalyst to restoring confidence and going on a undefeated run or you'll lose your next game and you'll get your wish for him to be replaced...but who with? Graham Potter? Thomas Frank?

Shiete performance but got the result, positives are many players got some much needed minutes to ignite their seasons. Confidence boost for Johnson and Bergvall looks a talent, as does Gray

Need to back it up with 3 points v Brentford
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bloody hell! A Billy post and not a word about Levy. Have we switched places? 😂

Some of the worse players were players like Bentancur, Sarr and Solanke all 1st team players. Bentancur played only one decent pass all night, and looked completely disinterested. Werner and Davies should not even be in the squad.

WTF does Ange think he can win games with the likes of Davies and Werner starting?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Davies was good tonight.

Fack knows how we won that.

posted 1 day, 5 hours ago

I thought Davies had a steady game, and he made one goal saving tackle when he slid to block a goal bound effort

posted 1 day, 5 hours ago

Ange excusing that we made so many changes which was a contribution to us being disjointed. Coventry made 7 changes themselves!!!

Yeah, fairdos, I got that one wrong.

Weirdest thing tonight was seeing so many players out of position. Gray at RB, Spence LB. The moment Udogie came off he could have moved Davies wide left, Spence on the right and Gray in the middle. So many square pegs in round holes.

Oh, and can we put to bed any notion that Ange plays good football. He doesn’t. Neutrals like him because he concedes goals. That’s Angeball really.

I just wish he’d shut his mouth for a bit. He feckin loves the sound of his own voice. Do your work on the training pitch, fatty, not in the press conference. For what it’s worth, I’d hate to play for an arrogant pricccck like that.

Yeh basically Spurs were outplayed by Coventry reserves.

I've seen the two Tottenham goals and I'd say Coventry defenders were way too slow on both of them.

Not seen it yet but if that’s true that’s a joke. He needs to start acknowledging his failings. If he doesn’t how the hell do we learn?

Positives

Bergvall looks a telent but needs like minded players around him

Gray, you can see he's got talent. Early days and finding his best position is key. Needed to play forward more today, wanted to see Spence given a go at RB.

Udogie , excellent first half and was a bright spark at both ends.

Kulu, been more consistent in his general play and showed heart today. One of the few who can manoeuvre the ball well in the box and do something unexpected.

Mads, you'd expect it against champs opposition but playing the ball round corners, trying to make things happen.

Negatives - where to start...

Ange, starting lineup wasn't right, blend wasn't correct. When given chance to correct things he made it worse. Spence is no LB had Reggie on the bench. Werner staying on till going off injured. Taking off solanke and when he needed service. Nothing made a lot of sense.

Davies - since the day we signed him he's not been good enough at either LB or LCB. Too slow, too small, too weak.

Werner - technically one of worst I've seen, up there with royal.

Johnson, fair play, a tidy finish, nice lad but nowhere near the required standard.

Solanke, annonymous, never in the game.. didn't have any service but didn't play himself into the game in anyway.

Odobert, went off injured but before that looked weak, short on confidence. Just not seeing it with him at the mo

Forster, terrible with his feet. Terrible handling, awful decision making especially for his experience.

There were performances similar to this in the early stages of Poch before it clicked, same can be said for Norbert and Captain Scarlet, changing the manager every year just kicks the can down the road, we need some stability

👍🏾

And yeah thats the thing, regardless of system and style and even poor players bought by levy blah blah blah at the end of the day why is he making such ridiculous subs/tactics.

Why not just put spence RB and gray in the midfield. Why you taking off solanke and leaving werner on? Why you taking off bergvall and leaving bentancur on? Absolute joke

Performance was terrible but we got the win which was the main thing. It's been sort of a reverse of what we've seen from previous games this season. You could consider that losing in the NLD and current form has let heads drop a little. So we'll see if this win picks this team up ready for a tough test on Saturday.

Ange needs to try and get some good form going now. This won't be enough to placate the fans or Levy.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The thing with Davies his attitude is good, the goal saving tackle was a typical example. But looks how many times he gets beaten in the air, average paced players just drift past him, terrible defending set plays. Struggles when pressed. If VDV get injured the set piece situation will only get worse.

Both Tottenham goals would have been blocked if the Coventry defenders had not just stood around and watched. They just let Spence and Johnson run through them.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Both those guys had more credit in the bank. Norbert got top 4 in his first full season, Arteta won an FA Cup early doors. Ange has done nothing special in his first season. He is in terrible, sackable form (based on Levy's history) so all he's got left is to improve the results from this pointonwards else it's a sacking.

Especially the Spence goal, totally ridiculous.
Coventry have only themselves to blame.

Don't know how Spence got onto that first one, good determination but coventry defenders were on their heals.

The Johnson one is the sort of goal we concede... Pushed right up, sliced open with one pass with a tiring defence struggling to get back.
