You started off questioning us and ended sounding just like us
I think we’re all a bit baffled by the team selection, the disrespect to Coventry. Then the performance - Coventry made 7 changes themselves but they had a clear plan and knew our weaknesses inside out.
I personally am still a little traumatised by watching Forster last night - my god, I think Ange could have done better between the sticks.

Forster showed exactly what is wrong with the fringe players , a cheap fix to a long term solution.
Why did we not bring a reserve keeper in? Forster should never play for spurs again. His passing was so bad I started to wonder if he was an actual footballer.
If Forster plays in the premier league, we could be looking at another Newcastle 6 goal debacle
Coventry should have been out of site by 88 minutes.
Yes spurs won and that’s obviously important . But if things don’t get better very very soon, we won’t be winning many more
Playing Forster was absolutely pointless, it served no purpose whatsoever. Did Vic need a rest - I faaacking hope not, a keeper needing rest 4 games in would be absolutely laughable.
Does Forster need game time - absolutely not, for what purpose? We played him at Fulham last year and he didn’t make a single appearance after that, so why bother this year. If they had stuck one of the youngsters in to get a look at them - I would have still been annoyed, but I could at least follow the thought process

If he played Austin and we lose 3-1 then we would question why Austin was played it's catch 22 situation , in all fairness to Forster he made a couple of decent saves to redeem himself after he's balls ups , but fack me he's passing and taking he's own defenders out was scary.

Probably because Ange isn’t the future, he knows it and doesn’t care.
He had a real air of resignation about him last night and his post match comments were pure horse schitt

I disagree, if Ange makes 5 changes tops and one of those is Austin to get him competitive football - I think fans would get that.
And Forster was appalling - how can a lump that big be so bad in the air, strikers are terrified of him, if he lands on you then you know about it.
Minute 1 he plays a schitt ball into Bergvall which ended with him having to make a save because of his error. Constantly missed catches all night. Ponderous and poor on the ball. Wiped out Dragusin.
Let’s not forget the last time we saw him at Fulham - some of the worst attempts at saving penalties I have ever seen.

It was important to win last night for the sake of keeping our cup hopes alive and relieving some of the pessure but in the grand scheme of things, all we've done is narrowly beat a Championship side, the type of team we were beating already - Everton, Sheff United and Burnley the end of last season. I don't think we have learned a lot other than it was a poor performance and we got lucky. Next 3 PL games will give us the real answers to the questions about Ange.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Correct - fail to win Saturday and it’s 2 tricky games at United and Brighton.
I am very confident that if we only take 1 point from the next 3 games then Ange will be getting the sack and I’m not sure 1 win from the next 3 will be enough to save him. Levy is a lot of things, but forgiving isn’t one of them
Ange should not have made as many changes as he did, but there was a logic to making some changes.
Squad players need game time so that when they're called on for PL games they're not completely rusty. Forster is a case in point. He looked like someone who hasn't played for ages.
I haven't lost faith in Ange (yet) and I really want him to succeed. But when we look back at this period we will either see it as one where Ange has lost interest and is stubbornly doing things his way even if that means the sack.
Or, we could look back and commend him for standing firm and sticking with his beliefs......if the results and performances improve significantly.
I sincerely hope it's the latter!

5 or more points should be the target. I think I said to you before, I'd be more encouraged by 5 points than 6 points cause one is going unbeaten, the other is losing a game and we already have lost 2 games as it is. The way our form has been we'll be looking at no more than 3 points at best from our next 3.
Not just results but performances will have to be good as well. We need to start showing we can create chances more easily, which is a big problem at the moment. Ultimately we do that then much more chance of winning.

I dunno, cushy life, earn big money, train every day, travel round the world and never have the pressure of performing - sounds an absolute dream.
The alternative is dropping into the Champ or league 1 - try and establish yourself, lesser facilities, lesser money, more pressure and no foreign travel.
Oh to be a back up keeper

Well if it's a draw with Brighton, I guess that run would just about be acceptable. Would depend on the manner of performances and the loss to United.
If this team plays like it should then it would be a win against Brentford, 1 win and draw minimum in Europe, and 2 draws or a draw and narrow win in the away PL games. What is likely in our current form is a draw to Brentford, a loss to United and a draw or narrow loss to Brighton. European games who knows given it'll be heavy rotation.
Levy will only care about the PL games, so to him 5 or more points would give Ange more time.

I think the question is, why are we resting Vicario. In a back 5 with 3 changes (2 seemingly forced on us by injury) why make it a 4th change?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well exactly - you spend 80 mins standing still or padding lightly around the 18 yard box. Clearly it’s not about resting Vicario.
But what the point of playing Forster 1 to if we’re lucky 6 times a season.
If Vic gets a long term injury we will be in the transfer market as soon as it opens - it’s just bizarre

I don't think we have learned a lot other than it was a poor performance and we got lucky. Next 3 PL games will give us the real answers to the questions about Ange.

Austin just signed a long term contract he is the future
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Then wtf didn’t he play last night?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If he played Austin and we lose 3-1 then we would question why Austin was played it's catch 22 situation , in all fairness to Forster he made a couple of decent saves to redeem himself after he's balls ups , but fack me he's passing and taking he's own defenders out was scary.

Very good points ,but a lot of fans can be fickle . They would definitely have questioned why Austin was started ahead of a veteran keeer .
