Aside from Leicester - name one big chance he has had, just 1? You can’t because there haven’t been any and that’s not his fault.
Remember when Harry Kane couldn’t score in August, Bale couldn’t finish on the winning side, Modric was too small for the league.
A little patience please
Too early to write him off but I do find it odd that Spurs spent so much on a 26 year old with really only one good season in the PL. Surely there were better alternatives abroad.
Eventually...... whether he scores enough to justify 65mln quid is another matter... Jury;s out

He just needs a run with the strongest possible team around him (whatever that is...probably doesn't include Werner). So far his start has been disrupted by injury and yesterday the service to him was poor.
Although he could have done better, it's too small a period to judge him on.

He fluffed a few at Leicester and then didn’t get a sniff at Arsenal and Cov.
It’s just far too early though. If he scores a couple on Saturday and then gets a hat trick against a shiete Qarabag side - he would be on 5 in 5 starts, would you accept he is a great signing at that point?
Give it until Xmas before judging him, that would be fair

He was a big risk signing, £80m plus from abroad and took forever to get his first goal. Scored 10 league goals in the end - I mean, it’s not ground breaking is it. No goals this season still.
United signed him for his potential, we signed a guy for less money who scored 19 for Bournemouth last year - I think we’ve played it safer than you have personally

It's not ground breaking no, but 16 goals (all from play) in all comps isn't bad from 20/21 year old in his 1st year in a new league with a poorly performing team.
I don't see him turning into a goal machine like Haaland or Kane but nothing to suggest at this stage that he can't get 20+ a season in all comps.

Agreed, and neither will United under ETH.
Both need new managers before there is even a slight chance.
After that, we either need Pep to leave City or for them to be found guilty and punished accordingly - otherwise I think City will keep winning it for as long as Pep is in charge

None that are proven and obtainable - Mbappe wasn’t going to move to us.
The only one we could have taken a punt on was Jonathan David, but is he good enough, I had and still do have serious doubts.
Gimenez - we weren’t paying top dollar for a striker from the Dutch leagues again
The only other one we were linked with was Gyokeres - who Sporting wanted £80m for after they bought him from Cov the previous summer for £20m - levy would have been mad to sanction that - 1 season in a semi decent league

Would happily take a bet that City get any punishment they may receive at the very least delayed until the start of next summer - Lrem wouldn’t even push back on that.
Odegaards now out for a long time, they go to City at the weekend without him, 2 points behind and having to play tonight in Italy first - I think the title race will be all but done but Sunday evening

Arsenal don't seem to be going anywhere. I think it could be them this year regardless of what happens with City's case.

Too early to write him off but I do find it odd that Spurs spent so much on a 26 year old with really only one good season in the PL. Surely there were better alternatives abroad.

Personally id have gone with Toney

Come on Spurs, someone has to stop the axis of evil (City, Arsenal, Liverpool, & Chelsea), because it certainly won't be us

I've nothing against Spurs at all but there isn't a hope in hell that they will win a title any time soon

Agreed, and neither will United under ETH.
Both need new managers before there is even a slight chance.

I was against us signing Toney not that we were ever in for him but some on this board wanted him. However to knock him after 180 mins of not scoring is a little harsh.
