I don’t think striker is the issue, Zirkzee did his job very well in the build up.
Lots of teams get their goals from midfield and their wingers these days.
I feel we need that Son, Salah, Palmer type player who has the composure and confidence to miss and score the next one. We’ve just a bunch of confidence players.
The positive is that we were mostly in control, creating chances and looked solid defensively until we gave it up in chase of a winner (ironically had the opposite affect)

We won’t win anything as long as Bruno is undroppable. He lost the ball 34 times and ruined everything Zirkzee and Amad tried to build.

Bruno could have lost the ball another 40 times but if we took our 5 big chances first half we are 5-0 up.😂
We missed 5 big chances in the first half, I think Arteta and Guardiola in the PL manager era haven’t missed that many in a full game.😂

Hojlund has a better conversion rate than Haaland. Let's see how he does once he's back starting
Personally I don't think Zirkzee and Bruno works. Zirkzee doesn't play upfront. He drops really deep and links the play which he is good at but with Bruno already in the team we need a proper striker.
Zirkzee playing off Hojlund might work better but there's no way the captain is being dropped.
Should have spent the money on someone who scores goals basically.

I wanted Bruno gone, but for some weird reason the club extended his contract.

The funny thing about that 7-0 was Man Utd battered Liverpool first half and should have been a few up and Liverpool scored late in the first half with there first shot on goal.😂

I think INEOS failed their first major test. The plan was clearly to sack him otherwise why talk to other managers? I think the emotions of Wembley took over and it's basically tossed another season down the pan.

We're ranking high for touches, possession, big chances created, shots on goal made. All good signs and indication of the direction we're heading. There's also good discipline, a clear pattern of play, a solid defence.
All very good reasons to be optimistic. We now need all the good work to result in excellent goal conversions.
